Official Pictures from Sony's PSP Go Surface Ahead of E3

More pictures of the so called PlayStation Portable Go or PSP Go for short have surfaced over the weekend days. Specs of the device outline a 3.8-inch display that has 43% more brightness than the PSP-3000, a 16 GB of embedded flash storage, no UMD drive, a Memory Stick Micro slot, built-in Bluetooth and full compatibility with older PSP-3000 and PlayStation's Network channels. The new PSP will probably make first appearance during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) annual trade show for the computer and video games. Check out the official PSP forums here, if you're seeking updates on the PSP Go. A video of the new gadget is also available at Viddler.com.

I'll pass on this, I gave up on the PSP a long time ago due to the lack of games, and I was a big fan I played it more than anyone I knew, but there wasn't any games coming out so I just left it. Not to mention my PSP is fecked, the analog is broke and has a mind of it's own rendering pretty much any game that uses it unplayable, my UMD drive broke again and the screen is really dark looking. Only thing it's good for now is homebrew.

I think this looks pretty sweet. If it can be modded I will definitely try and pick one up for cheap. But for now my PSP-1000 is fine.

Lets play a game of "Guess That Price." $149.99 :nutkick:. Since it's a strip down version it shouldn't be more than the current one but then again it's brand new product. This one is hard to know. Remember when Sony want $299 for their first release of PSP? Wouldn't be suprise if this one is in $200 range.

No, and it never will. Believe me, I've lost my voice yelling at the PS3 homebrew community.

Nothing is unhackable. I remember in the original series every one was going crazy because the 2nd firmware (1.50) wasn't hacked (and was assumed to never be). A couple months later it became the most hackable firmware and all home brew was based on the 1.50 kernel. And then their was the time when the new motherboards came out that blocked older kernels from running and had an updated ipl. That got hacked months later using a modified battery

The screen is smaller like 3.8'' vs the old PSP which had 4.3''.

No UMD's for this one though only downloadable content, thats why its fitted with 16GB Flash Memory. However it does have bluetooth.

I see no reason why anyone would buy this. I got the first PSP that came out and got disappointed with it for having such a bad game catalog when compared to DS, I ended up selling it to buy a DS Lite, should have bought a DS right at the start.

This seems gimmicky and more easily breakable to me. I like sony, but not too impressed by the way this one looks. Hopefully the analogue "stick" is a little less awkward. :P

I got kind of getting sick of my DSi because of the graphic and too many casual game. Neither this or the slim PS3. I don't like toying with console and I have a BR player so I guess PSP Go then. Well at least until there's homebrew to go with it :)

yeah and FINALY GT is ready like it wasnt the first time. The graphics on this versoon of GT are WAYYYY better than the first so i have no doubt it is more powerful. I do know it has 16 gigs already in it Plus 16 expantion. no umds to loose or break either lol

I'm still using my 1001 PSP with it's original 32MB Memory stick.

I like the new redesign, although I would have stuck the analog stick somewhere else. If I didn't already own a PSP, I would seriously consider getting this one.

Yeah same I here I still have my PSP and it was the very first type that came out. I've modded it and flashed about a billion times and its still in great condition and working. No complaints from me and its been by far the best Christmas present I have every gotten. Think I'm going to keep this one till the end.

That seems a tight fit for anyone's hands. I see a lot of cramping coming from that. The shoulder buttons are a good bit away from the normal placement on all the PSPs (Fat and slims) so I don't know how that will play out. I hacked my nephews PSP (believe it isn't a 3000 because it was able to be done) so I don't see me getting this unless it could be hacked. I know it's shallow and wrong but unless they make awesome games for it and not ports (like the sports) or subtle changes (Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, etc) then I won't buy games. UMD was a horrible idea but it was cool to watch some movies that way.

I dont like the new sliding mechanism... It is not very good. I have had two phones with those flip type things and they have both broken before the time was up to get a new one (two years)...
