EVGA Releases X58 SLI LE Motherboard

EVGA expanded its motherboard lineup with the LGA-1366 based X58 SLI LE (141-BL-E757-TR). This ATX motherboard supports the most common standards of EVGA motherboards in the sub-series, at a price-point lower than that of its 3X-SLI series. It is priced at US $239. Making use of only the X58+ICH10R chipset, with no companion nForce 200 chips, the board goes on to feature four PCI-Express x16 slots, for NVIDIA 3-way SLI, or ATI CrossFireX. A 8-channel audio, and one gigabit Ethernet connection make for the rest of the signficant feature set. Popular retailer Newegg.com has already started listing it.

As I said in the other thread, ME WANT mATX VERSION!!! Real bad. :(

The only thing I don't like about these boards is the placement of the 8-Pin +12V. That will make super-clean cable management difficult.

That is true, they should have put it on top near the edge.

The cleanest way to run it would be to try and tuck it under the MOFSET heatsink and route it up to the top of the mobo and back down behind it.

The other thing I'm worried about is how copper would look on the board. The heatsinks don't look beefy enough to me, so I'd probably Enzobling it out.

There might be just enough space under the heatsink to do that, but only just.

I bet this is going to very very popular... Mark my words :D

For starters is an i7/X58, Evga, looks great, and we all know how the i7 performs. Add all that with the price it has...... this is gonna sell like crazy!

Finally a board that looks the business. No weird-looking shiny crap stuck all over it.

I love how they don't tell you what speed the four pci-express slots are rated at. Nothing on the product page for their website, nothing on newegg. I'm sick of boards that "support" 3-way sli, but when you put in a third card one of the slots slows down to 8x. Are we supposed to be happy about this?
