XFX to Create New ATI Brand in China

Our colleagues at Expreview report that XFX is trying to work out its way to the Chinese market by launching a spin off company that will sell ATI Radeon based cards there. XFX is no longer NVIDIA exclusive and there's nothing bad in such an action. The new XFX brand will be called "Jing Tai". That's all the info we got for now.

"XFX is trying to work out its way to the Chinese market"

XFX is a division of PINE Technology Holdings . PINE is headquartered in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region . PINE’s XFX division maintains two state-of-the-art research and development facilities in Taiwan and Shenzhen, technical support centers in the U.S., Europe and Asia, product marketing the U.S., and a factory in Mainland China.
Am i missing something ? . The same factory is making both ATI nd NVIDIA as we speak with XFX brand . I'm confused ..
the XFX brand is there since 2002 , the factory is there and they sell video cards . Samtack, PINE’s distribution division, moves a wide range of PC peripherals and accessories through its extensive network ( China , wordwide ) .

PINE Technology is trying to work out its way to the Chinese market , making a new division exclussive for ATI based video cards , branded Jing Tai .. that sounds more like it .

Gainward is one of PALIT'S brands when it comes to video cards .
Powercolor is a TUL`s brand ( Tul Corp. ) . Powercolor is just a brand for graphic cards . Tul also makes cases , power supplies . Now if they decide to make another brand for videocards , TUL makes another , not powercolor ( witch is a brand itself ) .
So in our case PINE Technology makes another brand not XFX .
please correct me if im wrong !

^We need a proper translation from a XFX themselves to understand what it really means. Here is a very different translation: answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080916215250AAEb1zu and other tech-sites are using google translate to come up with yet more translations. COME ON XFX PR TEAM. Goodness grief. DONT go sending press releases to Western Tech sites UNLESS you translate your vernacular mumbo-jumbo.

Yep. It's product differentiation to control distribution in a different market (just like DVD region coding, but you cant do that with GPUs. At least, not yet ;)), and also accounting tricks like corporate cost and tax management, and also strategy tricks... build a brand that you can then SELL, without having to sell the whole company, just the sub-brand.

They sell this brand only in China,it's not important to make westerners understood. And the first ATI Brand in China,I think it's www.Dataland.com.cn,also it's a renamed brand of Powercolor for Chinese Market.
