Mitsubishi Intros Viseo 24.1 inch Black LCD

Mitsubishi made a return to black with the Viseo MDT243WG satin black. This 24.1 inch LCD monitor has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA), and comes with a matte-black finish. The panel has a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, maximum brightness of 500 cd/m², and access time of 5 ms. It takes input from two HDMI connectors (perhaps to connect to different sources of video and audio, or different audio/video sources altogether). Apart from HDMI, DVI-D, S-video and D-Sub are available. The monitor embeds a stereo 2x 5W speaker set. At 99,800 Yen (€745), it's your average professional-grade monitor.

I suppose their car manufacturing department is taking a beating so their wading into the IT market. NEVER heard of mitsubishi making monitors.

Cars, Aeroplanes, rice cookers, microwaves, air con units & a few other house hold appliances = YES but nothing computer related...

Some of their lines of tv's are pretty good! But as always, I would have to see how it looks in person before I judge...

Mussy, just because 2ms TN panels exist, doesn't mean that most companies will use them.

Not everyone is like Thermaltake, who have unfathomably legitimate 150CFM/20dbA fans, for realz. And besides, Mitsubishi are respected. Why would they pull a stunt that no one could ever call them guilty on because there is practically no difference between 2ms and 5ms.. huh?

Huh? They've always made LCD monitors. Heck I have an old 24.1 (they seem to always use the .1) monitor myself that's at least 5 years old.
Heck they make HDTVs, washing machines, dryers, etc. I remember back in the day Mitsubishi made one of the best 50+ HDTV in the market. That was before thinning out of LCD though.

Great choice in a product name, Mitsubishi - no confusion there with the Visio LCD televisions....

Wow, I hadn't even thought of the price seriously.

You can get TWO 2408WFP's for that price. Those are the best monitors around.

Heck, you may even be able to find THREE 2407WFP-HC's refurbished on Dell's own site.

Monitor and thin bezel is good. FUGLY base, looks like the cheaper end of consumer, not something I would care to own.

Ah, again the car company manages to return.

Seriously the CRT monitors rock in their day from Mitsubishi. Hope they can find a way back to where they belong, the LED monitor industry. Im checking out reviews when this monitor comes out.
