Enermax Rolls Out Apollish Series Coloured Fans
Power and casing specialist Enermax released its Apollish series of coloured case fans. Available in standard 120 mm (model: UCAP12), and 80 mm (model: UCAP8) sizes, the fans have two attractive features apart from one which enhances its functionality. To begin with, the fans come in four colours: red, blue, silver, and green. Apart from being translucent, the fans have a chrome sputtering coating that gives a metallic sheen. Illumination is care of a patented circular LED design that gives it brilliant, radial streaks of light. In terms of functionality, the fans feature the company's twister-bearing design that extends product life. These fans are rated to serve for 100,000 hours. UCAP8 spins at speeds between 600~2100 rpm, pushing 12.48~33.04 CFM of air, while the UCAP12 spins at speeds between 700~1700 rpm to push 28.98~71.76 CFM. Both fans have a rated minimum acoustic footprint of 15 dBA. The UCAP8 and UCAP12 Apollish fans have recommended price tags of $13 and $19.5 respectively (before applicable taxes).

Thermalright is apparently working on new heatsinks that will work with AM3 sockets and don't obstruct the RAM.:rockout:
That + This = Terrific (if these turn out to be good of course)

Lol, not to mention that I got the NZXT Apollo, ha ha.
I cant stand glowing fans because my PC runs 24/7 and the fans light up my room & keep me awake, but for all those 16yr old first time case blingers, just breaking out of facebook and twatter, and finally growing up & learning to build their own PC's, this is the shiz.
The kinda thing you may want to show off at a LAN party, perhaps on a LAN-party montherboard...
In some kind of LAN case full of blinged glowing fans & such...
Hey BLIZZARD... did you know that ppl PLAY LAN GAMES??? YOU SHOULD CONSIDER ADDING SUPPORT FOR THIS NEW GAMING PHENOMENON IN YOUR FUTURE TITLES....
Then again, everyone hates blizzard right now over starcraft II...
Anyway, chromed edges is snazzy. Still not as cool looking as the xigmatek achilles fan - cmon, white leds on a transparent (colored) fan? classy.
I want to see 160mm fans and cases with a 160mm fan at the rear. That way there is more than enough room to fit the largest CPU coolers.
Sorry to ramble off topic, I too get tired of seeing the old blue, green, and red themes. But any way these fan look very psychedelic:p
give blizzard time, they will make you login to a custom blizzard app in order to use games you paid for, kinda like steam but even less user friendly ;)
The homepage is here.
It appears to be a new type of sleeve bearing which is interesting (much longer MTBF) but, I'd prefer black (no lights).
