The AMD Opteron X2150 is a server/workstation processor with 4 cores, launched in May 2013. It is part of the Opteron lineup, using the X-Series architecture with Socket FT3. Opteron X2150 has 2 MB of L2 cache and operates at 1900 MHz. AMD is making the Opteron X2150 on a 28 nm production node, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on Opteron X2150, which limits its overclocking potential. With a TDP of 22 W, the Opteron X2150 consumes only little energy. AMD's processor supports DDR3 memory. This processor features the HD 8400 integrated graphics solution. Hardware virtualization is available on the Opteron X2150, which greatly improves virtual machine performance. Programs using Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) can run on this processor, boosting performance for calculation-heavy applications.
