The Intel Xeon 5140 was a server/workstation processor with 2 cores, launched in June 2006. It is part of the Xeon lineup, using the Woodcrest architecture with Socket 771. Xeon 5140 has 4 MB of L2 cache and operates at 2.333 GHz. Intel is building the Xeon 5140 on a 65 nm production process, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on Xeon 5140, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
