The Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2200 was a desktop processor with 2 cores, launched in December 2007. It is part of the Pentium Dual-Core lineup, using the Allendale architecture with Socket 775. Pentium Dual-Core E2200 has 1 MB of L2 cache and operates at 2.2 GHz. Intel is making the Pentium Dual-Core E2200 on a 65 nm production node using 105 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Pentium Dual-Core E2200, which limits its overclocking potential. With a TDP of 65 W, the Pentium Dual-Core E2200 consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. Intel's processor supports DDR1, DDR2 and DDR3 memory with a dual-channel interface. For communication with other components in the computer, Pentium Dual-Core E2200 uses a PCI-Express Gen 2 connection. Although the processor doesn't come with integrated graphics, certain motherboards with compatible chipsets can provide this capability. The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability.
