But a 4850X2 is one VGA, while a 4850 is one as well. 1+1=2. If you got a 4850, you'd only be running to VGAs. No 3-way Crossfire.

I don't understand. The 4850X2 is two GPU's. The 4850 is one GPU. 2+1=3, I'm not the best at math, but this is pretty simple stuff :laugh:

Oh yea.. Crossfire actually only lets you use 2 monitors. 4 if you have it off. You don't need it tho.

About half of the bechmarks I've seen say Crysis only uses 2 GPU's at max :ohwell:

i have 4850X2 2GB+4850 1GB in right now all i need to do is install vista or windows 7 so i can bench them all together XP is still only 2 GPU's

What kind of loads are you all seeing across 3 gpus?
What resolution, AA/AF, and game settings?

I'm really thinking about picking up a 4870 1gb to match up with my 4870x2. Just got to get a new ps then.
