Sorry for not posting for a while, been kinda lazy last days
So I got the cooler installed with supplied VRM sink and I can say I am overall satisfied. VRM temps can surely be a bit better but since my system freezes no longer I think I'll just stick with the original sink (but I will surely consider buying the custom thingy from xmas2, if the both cooling performance and price would be reasonable :)). Will post some pics later, here are some graphs from 3-minute FurMark stability test just for now.

Temps:

VA characteristics

Fan speed (custom Fanspeed IC settings):

If someone's interested in the actual readings, here's the whole XLS file:

Fan speed (custom Fanspeed IC settings):

What was your ambient temperature for that run? Haven't tested with FurMark lately but 26C ambients sure heat up the cards VRMs quite a bit, needed 70% fans speed couple days back to keep them under 100C :/

Would you mind posting your custom IC setting? I've planned to make a modified dynamic fan profile for my card a while now, but some basis would help speed the process.

Got my new case and CPU installed, just need to get the pictures to my computer and I could share some of Accelero's new home :)

Hello.
Download this http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_system_tools_6.05.html
From this package you'll need "1. NVIDIA Performance Group (v6.05.13.05) add-on to the NVIDIA Control Panel"
Then in Nvidia control panel you'll be able to make profiles and rules. For example i made a rule to run fans at 70% and to overclock my videocard a bit when i start Fallout3, then i added rule to set fans back to 40% when i exit the game... so you can make rules for overclocking, downclocking, fan speeds e.t.c. to run at specific events, or when specific programm starts or ends, or any other rules :)
those tools are especially great if you got not only video by Nvidia but also a motherboard (eh, i wish i could get one here)

i hope that will help. it was a bit hard to understand how to make those rules to work but then after 2 hours of work i got everything working. now my card is downclocked to save energy when surfing web or typing documents and watching movies, and overclocked when i play games or work with 3d models :) and it's all automated.

nice case you got there - which model is that?
i spent whole day last time to hide all wires in my case - almost none of them can be seen there :)
i had to cut 2 holding places for hdds out to make my videocard fit with this accelero :shadedshu

by the way - can anyone help me with getting some thermalpads at least 1mm thick? in here i could find only 0.3mm which is too small for my modding of videocard

Nice house:toast:
The time spent on cable management in that Midgard case really shows. Makes it all worth the effort.
I will be checking this out further in the case gallery! The case has some similarities to my 902, the layout, black interior and cable management holes in the tray. But it has a lot of tool-less drive and card mounting features, which the 902 doesn't.
Looks good with the orange fans and the blue DS3. Getting back on topic, your Accelero-equipped 280 fits in there like a glove, and should have good airflow in that case:cool:

OnBoard: Dunno the exact temperature, but it was hot as hell that day. My best guess is around 28-30 centigrade.

Sure I wouldn't mind :) Here ya go.

Changed the fan control mode to automatic, since i don't fully understand what each value does in dynamic mode.

And btw. does anybody know, what are the lowest safe voltages for 65nm GT200? For now I have set the 2D voltage to 1,025V, but I'd like to go lower:)

Could you send me your BIOS file (via gpu-z)

The lowest I can go is 1.06v for 2D , did you use the voltage editor to adjust the standard values?

I bought a 100x100x1mm pro-grade thermal pad recently, so maybe I can help you :)

Will do, sir, immediately when I get home from work.

I was messing around with the voltages through EVGA Voltage Tuner, lowest 2D voltage I could achieve was 850mV, which is also the lowest setting Voltage Tuner allows you to set. It seemed pretty stable, but in the end I flashed 1,025V just to be sure.
Btw. the VDDC current drop on 850mV VDDC was HUMONGOUS, like from 19Amps or so to 4(!!)Amps.

Postage price will depend on where you live. As for the thermal pad, the price will be rather symbolical for you :) Just let me know the measures you need.

Sorry to say that, but I don't have the whole 100x100 piece anymore, after some experiments I got only like 3/4 of it left. So if you want the whole 100x100 piece, I can surely buy it & send it to you but it's gonna cost you probably 4€ for postage and 8€ for the pad itself :(
Don't you have an 3M distributor in Estonia at least? They're making these pads too, the type you should look for is 9894FR or 5509 I guess.
P.S. the RAM chips are about 10x15mm, the 1mm thick pads worked fine for me with the stock backplate.

That's a pity. Try to search for this, took me a while too to find it when I needed it.

Nice thanks , I editted my XFX bios 2d votlage to 1.05v with Voltage editor but my card doesn't recognize it.

Do you run 1.02v via EVGA voltage tuner or did you flashed the 1.02v into your BIOS?

Could you show me a GPU-z screen?

This is my flash btw:

I'm using EVGT only for testing, when I figure out stable values, I always flash them. So yeah, it's flashed. Did you changed the values in Voltage IC or only in Exact mode?

I editted the voltage in ''voltage table editor'' (tools)
