X1900gt Unlock Bios Found!!!

humm i flashed mine to a xt bios for the hell of it but the device id didnt change any thoughts dudes i was kinda lookin to get it detected as a xt what flashing tool have you dudes been usin that changes the device id? ive tried winflash and atiflash

i guess ill try flashrom lol

yout tried it with: "atiflash -p -f -newbios 0 XT.rom" ?

Even my new X1900GT changed the device ID this way

yep thats exactly what i put

its odd cause when i dump the bios from the card and open it it shows the right id in the dumped bios but during boot it shows the device id is still that of a gt aswell as in windows

w1zz was tellin me you cant change the device di's on newer cards but you guys seem to have done it.. odd ...hummm

Perhaps @the new version of the X1900GT (mine is one) you can change the device id ... seems to be totally different to the old ones...

To find out your pipeline: AtiTool
To get the Pipeline You want: order a bunch of X1900GT's (rev 1) and maybe 1/1000 or more are unlockable

unless, the xt256 bios can be modded..., but still a long shot.

Is there any fix for the x 1900 GT card with R580LE chip? Becouse it cant be overclocked and I badly want to clock my Radeon x 1900 GT card. It seem to be running on lower speed than it shuld. Got my on Core: 513 Memmory: 657. Information delivered b ATItool 025 Beta 15.

maybe just cause your card is an x1900GT V2, and yeah they dont overclock well.

I dont know, not sure how to find out of it... At least it is an Saphire x 1900 GT CrossFire ready graphic card. Shop that sels it says that core speed is 575 MHz and memmory is 700 MHz but CAN be runned on 1200MHz. I asked how it can be done but they answeared that it follows with an software that can fix it.

Now there was 2 vertions, crossfire and non crossfire. Saphire and Powercolor. Problem is that powercolor was out of stock and did not com before 30 september. That why I buy Saphire witch were more expensive. I dont regreat doing that, but it is crappy that I cant run it fully out.

I also getting several bugs doring playing FEAR. The texture on some lvl's desapear and it start badly lagging some plases. Lowering resolution helps... But WTF? Does any one els gets it?? I uses Thermaltake Tide Water cooler on that card. It is 34 idle and a litle bit over 40 when going 3D games.

EDIT: How many active pipelines is it on x1900GT? I got 12 if we are to trust ATITool's judgment.
EDIT2: Is it possibel to download x1900GT bios and fix it with Rabit 2.1 then flash my card? Will it work this way? Can any one give me a link to an FAQ or help me out with that? How far it can be clocked and so on? How to flash a bios on video card?

Many misunderstands the ram speeds on a Graphics card.. 600mhz ram runs 1200mhz effectively, 700mhz is effectively 1400mhz

as for identifying your card revision:
the new gt's have a heatsink that looks like a small version of the x1950 (the completely red one, no chick on the sticker/heatsink)

the X1900GT has 12 Pipelines.

As for FEAR issues: use drivercleaner pro to uninstall all ATi drivers, and install the newest original catalyst (6.9) or maybe the game has some sort of "automatic graphics settings"
The game is heavy on the system, my opty 165 @ 3ghz and GT gives about 15-35fps + / - in 1280*1024 (all settings maxed)

Ey, that was the one I had, completely red with no girl on and full of cober under the plastic.
Well, I got Athlon64 3700+ 1G ram and x1900GT card. Running it on almost all maxed in graphic performenc and on medium computer performenc and that happens. Dunno me dont know why, maybe lack of ram? I did not runned game far then 1024 x 768.

prob your cpu is holding you a little back, i also have 1 gig of ram

the new GT's are clocked lower core, but higher mem. but difference between rev 1 and rev2 cards should be no more than 0-2%
