no but the aiming can be tricky clock on shit and you will see the binary name for the object show up. keep clicking it trying diffirent areas until the number changes or shows up.

Thanks! I got it! :)

I normally will do anything to not use cheats but this is clearly not an intended outcome for this quest, so it has proven very helpful.

“When it comes to DirectX 11 there are things they get us for free, like per*for*mance gains. You’re going to get per*for*mance gains out of it ver*sus an older ver*sion. But the specifics DX11 does, like tes*sel*la*tion and all that kinda stuff, we aren’t tak*ing advan*tage of that right now. That doesn’t mean we won’t in the future. We aren’t right now because we want to author it so it looks great.”

http://www.thegamersblog.com/2011/11/13/skyrim-dx11-patch/

Is that true? Can we really possibly expect a DX11 patch of sorts down the line?

The problem from the very start is the fact this game is a DX9 console port onto PC. That was Bethesda Massive Mistake. Designing this game based on an inferior product is not good at all.
That said, I believe Bethesda owe it to the PC gaming community to release a nice DX11 patch, something that should further set apart the more advanced PC vs. the age old Console(s).

No offence to the XBOX 360, but I was not impressed with the games graphical quality. I wouldn't have minded the console quality if I never seen it on my PC. :D

Yeah that is how it works. Console people love it and when I first saw in on the PS3 I was like hey this isn't bad. After playing on my PC and especially after tweaks I realized how bad it really does look on console.

They do owe us. I mean they were given all this time had FallOut 3 to work with and they essentially give us the same stuff we have seen before just new models and terrain work.

I was hoping for a jump like we saw from Morrowind to Oblivion, that is the only thing they disappointed me in.

You are dead on. Though it would benefit console users if games were designed for the PC platform then ported over onto Consoles. This way it almost guarantees best possible picture quality for the console. Any game developer not creating games on the PC 1st are flat out lazy.

it'd have to be in those action kill shots, like vats shots from fallout - the actual engine doesn't allow dismembering.

If someone made a mod for dismembering I'd be on that sh*t so fast . But yes it can only be done by perk then finisher.

go ahead go to the top of the guard tower near white run where im located, I bet what you see dosent look anywhere near as awesome as what i see :toast:

please note FPS is 22-27avg with dips down to 19 fps, if Xfire worked properly i should be around 50-60 with a min around 25 ish aka fully playable, further tweaking better drivers and crossfire profiles i should be able to push
uGrid 13 uExterior 196
Grass Fade Max 24000
Grass Fade Min 21000
Shadow Fade 12000

note shadow fade means up close shadows suck... but since i play first person most of the time this matters a bit less. so ambience of the world around me is more important.

Whats your FPS like? I've got the same thing except my Ugrids is at 7. 9 would lower my fps to much but that was before the latest drivers.

ive only tried forced Ambient occlusion so far and it works pretty well (set to quality, performance is too lame and it flickers too much). Not sure if i received that much performance hit since i usually gauge it by actually playing instead of looking at fps counter.

btw,
wee! being inside a coffin with a corpse and the corpse suddenly started talking is rad >8D

More gameplay question:

I have a Resist Frost potion recipe, which says combine Gourd with Fire salts. However, the alchemy lab does not let me add the vegetable. Any ideas?

Wow, this new Skyrim update did nothing.
Been searching on the Bestheda forums and apparently it is to do with the .exe rather than a patch update.

So it may have been implemented to stump the pirates temporarily.

I don't see how it makes any difference to the pirates. There is nothing forcing them to use the new .exe
Hell, most of them will never even know this update happened.
