I think they say all the features from beta 13.8 2 was included and fixed...

as this is still at Beta phased, of course there is still lots of bugs..

The joys of a new driver install.... :rolleyes:

Crossfire wouldn't enable right away, then when it did gpu2 stayed at 99%...yet again, so had to disable ulps. After a several reboots, it seemed to work alright.

Sniper Elite seemed to run a little smoother than the previous installments, so that's a plus for me

What worries me is the game by game frame pacing fixes they're releasing. I'm looking forward to seeing the new cards announced but it's now September and no definitive overall frame pacing solution. Nobody else concerned?

Will try this when I get home.

The last beta (13.8) was giving me "GPU clock stuck at 300 Mhz" bug, had to rollback to 13.4 WHQL to solve the problem.

I miss being in the AMD bandcamp and getting all excited about drivers.
NVidias are entirely boring and still havent fixed the LoL bug after like... a year? Not that I play it anymore, but it's getting people fairly irritated xD
Also, does anyone with AMD cards actually manage to play Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 without it crashing within 5 minutes? I've heard plenty of people bought the game and cant play it for more than 5 minutes without it committing suicide, I'm wondering if it's also NVidia orientated or just a broken game altogether.
Sad part is, it's not even a good game, but it would be nice to find that out myself after paying a whole £2.50 for it.

just played saints row IV on these.

felt smoother than on 13.6 b2, was getting occasional stutter and didnt experience that on these.

so far they seem good for 5K users.

I've tried reverting back to default clock but its still the same, stuck at 300 Mhz. Also tried playing games (Sleeping Dogs, The Witcher 2) and I got horrible stuttering. This also happened with 13.8 BETA 2.

No problem with 13.4 though :

I don't think it's a bug. put your gpu underload it will read different from 300 mhz.

I think when gpu are on idle they throttle down to min mhz.

wait i just realised you had some 3D test running... you realise crossfire/second GPU only works in fullscreen, right?

Yes, I know. But I'm not using Crossfire, just single HD7790

Try Google "AMD Radeon 7790 300 Mhz" or "7790 stuck at 300 Mhz", you'll find a couple of similar incidents, even here at TPU : http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185738

did you have any web browsers or media players open? if you had anything hardware acclerated (flash, browser, movie) that can cause the card to stick in low 3D clocks.

Sniper Elite runs like butter on mine with cf'd 7850's and 13.4's. I have logged so many freaking hours on Sniper Elite. LOL I play it more then BF3.
