VRAM size must match because the VRAM of the first card has to be copied to second card, if this cannot complete the driver will crash! SLI will never work with cards of different VRAM size, only same chip in different series (ex. GTX 670 + GTX 680, GTX 680 + GTX 770...)

Anatoly are you there? I need to know if the 331.x drivers will be supported, because I'm trying to put together Zotac 680 Amp! Edition and EVGA 660Ti sc on SLI...

Hello Ember, the test to put together an "GTX680 amp! edition" and a "EVGA GTX660Ti sc" with your DiferentSLIAuto.exe, and the result was a malfunction of the driver 331.65. The graphics acceleration was gone, in the nvidia control panel, I can see the sli between this two cards. As a result the nvidia control pannel was useless when I activate de SLI. I will try with another driver version to see if works. This two cards are fully compatible.

What it is?
------------
This patcher will automatically patch and sign "nvlddmkm.sys" for NVIDIA drivers for 64-bit systems to enable SLI with different cards.

To use:
--------
1) Install original NVIDIA drivers
2) Put cards together you want to SLI
3) Reboot
4) Copy original "nvlddmkm.sys" from "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\" and put it in the same folder as the patcher.
5) Run "DifferentSLIAuto.exe" and press patch, if everything went well it will say that patching was successful, if not contact Ember on techPowerUp! and do not continue.
6) Log in as Administrator
7) UAC must be disabled
8) run Install.cmd
9) Reboot

Tested on 331.82 and 331.93 beta and patches are found fine, what version are you trying to use?

Help me I need to sli a 660 ti and a 770
Because when I set sli the gfx acceleration is gone and stats in gpu-z get destroyed
And text is really hard to read

Try swaping both cards. Those chips should be compatible... but no one confirmed yet...

Nice patch, but i cant get it to Work.. i wanna try with my GTX560TI and GTX560
i unpack to c:/DifferentSLIAuto1.0 moved "nvlddmkm.sys" from "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\" to that folder runned patch, and is say pacthed succesful

. but when i try install.cmd, is says Please extract everything from the package including the contentes of the tools folder..

i have the tool folder in c:/DifferentSLIAuto1.0

what to do ?+

Hello,

Your problems could be wrong card matching:

NVIDIA_DEV.1004 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780" (think this is the same for TI version)
NVIDIA_DEV.1005 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN"

There is a list of card DEV numbers that have to match. We apologize it's missing from the first post in this thread and we hope to have that fixed soon.

780Ti (3GB) and GTX Titan (6GB) have different VRAM size. Please reference an older post by me on the same page... Cards need to copy VRAM contents between both, if VRAM size is different, driver will BSoD or be unstable. As a rule of thumb, SLI will never work with cards of different VRAM size, only same chip in different series with same VRAM size (ex. GTX 670 + GTX 680, GTX 680 + GTX 770...)
