HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

haaaa.......shit, thank's for the information.
then it is not possible to play assassins creed unity with a sli on a mother board crosfire : (
unless I uninstall the second VGA and update the drivers but not worth it for a game.

I just tried the latest drivers (347.25), it still won't patch...

I put up a new private post to ember about this, hopefully I'll get a response soon.

Hello tomorrow i want try run GTX 460 1GB SLI on my Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Chipset P45. I have driver 347.25 now.
What i must do to run SLI on this board ?

Just download differentsli 1.2 to a folder of your choice, go to 'c:\windows\system32\drivers' folder and copy 'nvlddmkm.sys to your folder where you installed different sli 1.2, double-click 'differentsliauto.exe' and
click 'patch', if everything went ok, it should say it was successful, open a command prompt in that folder and run the install.cmd file, reboot your pc, go to your nvidia control panel and enable sli mode, your done!

Hi,

I installed HyperSLI 1.0 with success. HyperSLI Status say me "Hypervisor Enabled" and "Hypervisor works properly". But in my nvidia control panel of the SLI option does not appear.

My hardware :
  • Graphic cards :
  • CPU : Intel 2500K
  • Motherboard : ASUS P8P67 LE (no pro, no deluxe => so it is compatible AMD crossfire but not Nvidia SLI)
I put a physical bridge between the two graphics cards. My 760 has 2 ports for SLI. I tried on both but none that option appears.

I have seen here that HyperSLI is not compatible with the intel p67 chipset. U agree this old post ?

Can you help me for install this ?

sorry for bad english.

When I reboot, windows goes into Test mode and the nvidia control panel will not start but crash.

Have u any idea for help me ? For my hardware see the post above.

Sry for bad english.

Everything looks ok in your post, I've never had the control panel crash, you stated in your first post that you have hypersli installed also, you cannot have both hypersli and differentsli installed at the same time, uninstall hypersli and reinstall your video drivers and then run only differentsli, it'll probably start working after that. Don't forget to reboot your computer after you uninstall
hypersli, and reboot again after re-running differentsli on your video drivers.

Thanks for you're reply.

I will try to uninstall hyperSLI and do the procedure for differentSLI.

I thought HyperSLI is for no SLI motherboards and differentSLI for two different cards. So I thought this software working together.

I trying this now, I'll let you know.

I tried to uninstall HyperSLI but no way (no button uninstall, not listed in software list). So i had rename the folder in "program files (x86)" from "HyperSLI" to "HyperSLI.removed".

I uninstalled Graphic Card Drivers, rebooted PC and re-installed Nvidia Drivers.

I patched the dll with "DifferentSLI". That was not the same result :
  • The patch (that appear like better here) :
patch.JPG

  • the install :
install.JPG

after reboot, windows goes in test mode, my second screen is down and not recognized. Like precendently, I concluded that the pilot does not working.

I tried to launch NVidia Control Panel and ... :
error_nvidia.JPG

This is not the crash as before but a new error.

Maybe I should properly uninstall HyperSLI. I found no way for uninstall him or format HDD.

Have you more some tips for me ?

Thx.

EDIT : After the patch I noticed that the DLL was 1200Ko during my previous attempt she made 10000Ko. So I guess update the graphics driver was good thing.

Just run the hypersli installer and click 'uninstall', reboot your computer, reinstall your video drivers, and re-run differentsli. Also when you reboot after uninstalling hypersli, you may
see a boot option menu, one of the entries might say 'hypersli' somewhere in the line, you
want to reboot with normal windows not hypersli one, for example, I'm running windows 7
64 bit, when I reboot I select "windows 7", not "windows 7 hypersli". Be sure to rename your hypersli folder back to what it was originally before uninstalling. Based on your last post, you
might need to swap your monitor cable to the other board, but try the other stuff first.

Thx dude I try this now !

EDIT : HyperSLI removed successfully ! (folder renamed).

I Re-installing NVidia Drivers (v 331.82).

By the way, the latest nvidia drivers are 347.52, the drivers your installing are quite old...

:twitch: I uninstalling all software providing by NVidia. I will reinstall the new version after. That's strange I downloaded this driver one hours ago.

Ty

Your welcome! Go here to download the latest drivers:

http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Select the highest model video board you have, (760) from the options menus, select your operating system (be sure to select the right "bits" setting 32 or 64 bit)
and 347.52 should be the first choice that comes up.

Dude was a mistake from me. When I installed the driver v331.82 it was an old installation file that was in my PC. In short, I reinstalled the right version.

After the patch, unfortunately it does not work and, I think we are in the same situation as this post. That is my crash NVidia panel on startup. The driver seems to be corrupt.

We are at the same level as at the start but without HyperSLI.

Strange, try moving your sli bridge cable to the other bridge connectors (if there are more then one on either board, also try this, (I'm assuming your running windows 7 64 bit, I didn't see your OS listed earlier):

1. Click Start

2. Click All Programs

3. Click Accessories

4. Right Click on Command Prompt

5. Left click on Run as Administrator

6. Click the Allow button if it asks you for permission

7. Type or copy and paste this into the command prompt window:

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

8. Hit enter and you should see the confirmation: Operation Completed Successfully

9. Reboot

------------------------------------------

This should turn off DEP, I'm not sure that this is causing your problem, but I have dep turned off completely on my system.

Make sure your not rebooting with hypersli selected from the boot options window (if your getting that).

Try turning off temporarily your anti-virus program when installing your video drivers and running differentsli

It sounds like something is either corrupted or somethings interfering with the video driver.

You could also check your bios settings to make sure your on-board video chip is turned off (I'm not sure your MB has that feature).

Make sure that you do a "clean" install of the video driver, there should be a option to
select that in the early option screens during install.

I did the command successfully. After the patch & reboot same problem.

At the boot time, the pc does not ask me if I want to boot normally or HyperSLI. So HyperSLI is uninstalled.

After this answer, i will try to uninstall drivers and re-install with Avast Antivirus disabled.

My mobo hasnt got video card integred. (http://www.asus.com/fr/Motherboards/P8P67_LE). I say that cause i didnt see VGA output.

select that in the early option screens during install.
I did but maybe for the wrong drivers (331.82). I will do with the next installation. Actually I removed the drivers before which amounts to the equivalent.

It sounds like something is either corrupted or somethings interfering with the video driver.
+1
I will talking about the test mode windows. It happened this evening with my hacks on "DifferentSLI." Against it by hand anymore.
I looked on the internet they say it can be unsigned drivers.
I did it to list the unsigned drivers but Windows didnt found one (patch differentSLI applied).

EDIT : I am reinstalling drivers, if that's doesnt work, I think i'll reinstall Windows tomorrow (format HDD too).

EDIT2 : That doesnt work. I will format this week-end (tomorrow or sunday). I tell u the next procedure. Thx to u
