eh? that's a joke? the G602 is getting old? no need for wifi ... the latency and response time of the G602 is more than enough (or even the G700/700s) not mentioning the G602 is more new than old ... and the sensor of it was one of the best i ever had even for a 2500 optical sensor ... my Trust GXT 166 is not bad (and pack a 16400dpi laser sensor) but feel less precise and sometime drop the tracking when i cross the grey lines on my Roccat Alumic xD (solution rotate the mate 90° left xD ) than the G602 was, i only changed because i needed 12 buttons and not 6 under my thumb xD (ok i could took a G600 but i already had one and wanted to test that GXT 166 :D )

I should have been more specific. :) I too think G602 is really cool. What I wanted to say was, I think they should expand their mid-range WiFi line. Right now they have something like M560 there. And other companies offer better value. What I would like is 2000 CPI with 2-button+middle click+back button+hyper scroll everyday mouse for about 30 Euro, which they currently don't offer. And if they do have the buttons it's only 1000 CPI (like M705, which I currently use). Their latest offerings are "down-scale" of their top tier wired mouse. So if they can trickle-down the top wired mice, why not trickle-down the top WiFi mice? Like a hack-job of G602 for example :)

ah i see ... but no WiFi is not necessary the 2.4ghz 1000/500/250/125hz poling rate nano receiver they have is perfect and can't suffer interference like a WiFi one. (well it's already wifi but they don't call it like that)

edit oh wait i did re read ... woops cross read is bad ... oh well i keep that part either ... bahahaha (still i fail to see why a 2000dpi M705 would be better than a 100dpi one ... i even used that mouse to play, wow/eve online/others, on a Sony Vaio  )
funny ... unless 4k dpi above 2600 are kinda useless for me and since 4k is useless (for me) i keep my GXT 166 at 2600dpi (i tried 16400 for fun ... oh well that was the highest rotation rate i ever seen on CSS  )
also the mouse you wrote off... is the M705 Marathon, i own one and it's exactly as you specify... and i paid 28chf for it (with the euro finally down to 1.07chf for 1€ it make ... 30€ xD )
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/marathon-mouse-m705
they announce 3 yrs battery duration .... it's a bit below reality if using good quality battery: Energizer Lithium got me a bit more than 5 yrs xD and it's my allround mouse for any of my second rig or laptop (even Macbook Pro now)

edit 2: oohhh on their official website Logitech list now the G600 for 49.90chf instead of 99.90chf ... hummm i took the GXT 166 because it did cost me 59.90 :D maybe time to go back to the G600 (if the pinky shift click wasn't so annoying .... and useless ...and i would miss the index 2nd button and ... the adjustable weight and .... hum yep Trust did a real good mmo mouse ... quite suprising )

Well, I am very happy with my G500 wired gaming mouse. So happy that I have a backup I bought. I've never had a bad logitech mouse. I still have an MX-518 that is almost ten years old, and it still works perfectly. I am now in my 3rd year with my G500.

Recently my G500 died after 5 years of abuse. I was able to find two G500s's tho :)

I tried both the G402 and G602, and they just don't feel right, too small and too low. Designed for baby hands.

It's a shame they ditched the MX518/G500 design, they are so comfortable.

@TheDeeGee You can still find that familiar shape of mx518: Try the G400s. It feels exactly the same.

Is this the true MX 518 successor?

I loved the G9x for its shape and currently using the G502 Proteus. Was not a big fan of G500 due to the weird asymmetrical sensor position. However Proteus is a bit too long for my hands and not wide enough to claw grip. I hope this is a better claw mouse.

This, I would never buy Razer again..Never had a problem with Logitech.
I have a pair of headphones and a Blackwidow keyboard from them and I absolutely love them. Their mice just suck balls.

No Logitech for me again I had 2 x G500 each one last a year and few months after that I bought G500s , the later is a degrade in every aspect the software is buggy along with the on-board memory that seems a gimmick , the clicks doesn't feel sold and doesn't click in a constant way .

My G500s got a very low but annoying coil whine... Any idea on how to get rid of it??

Anyways, I will never buy another Logitech mouse because of this shitty high pitch noise / coil whine issues, which seems to persist on almost all new releases.
