Since the ILL-Gotten Gains update 2 today I noticed a stutter now and then, it used to be smooth gameplay all the time before this update for me.

Edit: Still using Nvidia GTA V driver btw.

If your library is set to detailed view, then there's a button to click below you screenshots called "view screenshot library". Then click on show on disk and it will open up a folder where the pics are located on your drive.

I noticed it too, a real genuine stutter where couple of frames have unusually long render time every now and then.

I have the occasional stuttering as well. I use vsync, and get 60 (usually 63 fo some reason) fps 99% of the time, but after the patch, sometimes it dips down to like under 50. Sometimes the game gets noticeably "unsmooth" even without fps fluctuating. It's a bit annoying, but from what I read, some people have it much worse.

I'm afraid it either won't be fixed at all (some people say the game works worse and worse after every patch) or we will have to wait a few months before the next content is released.

Any of you on AMD using the new Cat 15.7 WHQL driver? Some are saying it makes GTA V run much smoother.

I do. Absolutely zero difference as far as I can tell. I was using 15.4 beta before.

Run the in game bench like I did. For me it showed 58 vs 55 Average FPS, and 35 vs 30 Minimum FPS. You may not notice a few frames in Ave FPS, but if you look closely, the 5 FPS higher Min could mean smoother gameplay, esp in big battles where you can get microstutter and slow downs in movement and gunplay. The 17% gain in Min FPS is fairly significant.

That said, I'm comparing to 14.12 WHQL. Tried some betas after that but had problems with them.

If there's a stutter, I think it's a CPU based stutter cause I've never had one, but I play at a very GPU limited 5760x1080.

The stuttering might be caused by something completely different. Too bad it doesn't work for shit. Cheaters haven't changed one damn bit.
The game is fucked up by design. Unless there are server checks, the cheaters won't go away (at least somewhat). Messing up the code, hoping it will confuse the cheating programs, is bullshit.

I have 2 Shadowplay recordings with MSI afterburner recording basically all hardware info on the screen as I play. Luckily I have a recording prior to the Ill gotten gains 2nd patch....

GPU Temp, Core Clock, GPU Usage
Memory Clock, VRAM usage
FPS, Frametimes
RAM Usage, pagefile usage

Ill make a video when I have time showing the difference from the previous patch to the current.

The stuttering seems to be caused by sudden frametime jumps

Now I guess it would be a little worse for me theoretically since I am using a Top Speed mod, along with a trainer or 2...

Anyway, I just thought it would be nice to see all the above info in realtime as GTA 5 was being played. Ill try and make it tonight.

Yeah I got really bad hitches the other day too in W10 which seemed to disappear after updating from 1023.7 to 1046

I always get some occasional minor stutter though as I only have 8GB RAM installed.

Stuck, how? Are you downloading it from Steam? Seems to be a Steam/connection issue rather than a game issue.

no not steam i bought it in wally world. It keeps losing connection, left it on over night nothing. its the final down load after over 2 hours with the damn 7 disc's, over a day still no game. I'm gonna dump it........................
