OFFICIAL The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Discussion)

I ran for a few yesterday and the game feels smoother.

Free DLC of this week? One of the last?

Patch 1.07 bugs as reported in Reddit. I hope I do not make a mistake by allowing Galaxy to patch my game to 1.07. Thankfully I am very busy with work so I do not have time to play. Perhaps it is for the best, knowing that Roche bug and some others has not been fixed yet.

Thankfully I play the old-fashioned way like I do with all my GOG games, so it only patches if I download and install the patch. I'll wait till they fix all those issues before installing patch 1.07.

Guys, check this out. My favorite armor for Geralt! A shirt! :D

It looks great and matches with Ciri starting with Kaer Morhen quest! Man, they look like brother and sister... umm father and daughter, uhh... like, like from the same school! Yeah! Hmm I should have tried to find matching boots and gauntlets too, only the Griffin Set has the perfect greenish tint to match Ciri's though.

Anyway, I have no problem with v1.07 and I notices grass and people popping in less. The HairWorks improved too, fps better now when Geralt entering houses and the camera zooming to his head. And I just got the finisher-anims-DLC, trying it out now.

I have downloaded the patch, but I was working a photo project and was too busy to install it myself so I thought I just let Galaxy do the update automatically while I was working. It was a mistake. Like I have already explained, the quest involving Roche and many others have been around since patch 1.05 and they have not been fixed yet and according to the Reddit post the patch actually introduces new bugs which I never encountered before. I uninstalled the game, reinstall it and all the DLCs and stay with the 1.06 patch. I even removed the 1.07 patch I downloaded from GOG.

Oh, I did play the game with the patch for a very short time and the circus is still there. CDPR did not fix the bug with people carrying a crate on their hands. The poor folks are still walking the funky way, as if they were riding a monocycle while carrying a crate. It is quite entertaining, honestly.

I haven't encountered the Roche bug in either of my playthroughs, thankfully!

I got it in my second playthrough, but the workaround is to not using fast travel to the Temerian camp. Or simply load a save made prior to entering the camp, far away from the location.

How about this one?

 LOL, I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that one. I don't recall seeing it though.

I just finished the game after two months, my biggest issue with it is why, oh why did they make it a trilogy ? they could have made at least 5 games with Geralt in it. At least 2 prequels to the events in Witcher 1. TW3 was very good for me, the kind of game i wish lasted longer. The ending i got was almost good, going to play thru it for a 2nd time with pleasure.

Well, CDPR has already gone way beyond the books, and ended the series on the highest note possible, and told a great story along the way. If they made more, it would risk diluting the brand, as other games have done.

I'm so confused! What does that mean?

Wen I seen that I was so glad I wasn't very far on my new playthrougt.

Ok, I got it figured out. I'm one of those fans that are against it. It takes away all the exploration and incentive. To me, it's not fun to roll through the game world like a 100 foot tall Cybertron with no real challenges.

It means you do not have to use your debug console to get your favorite Witcher gears anymore in your next playthrough. Once you find and keep them and complete the game, selecting the New Game+ mode will allow you to retain your gears, assuming Witcher gears are one of those.

Usually New Game+ allow a user to carry over their collection of items - or rather some of them, in some cases - and probably gold/money/cash and consumables like potions or even recipes, among many other like level and experience or stats.

Assuming you retain all your attributes and high level items and the enemies remain as they were the first time you meet them. Unfortunately that is not the case with many games, and I hope Witcher 3 is included. Usually New Game+ meaning your enemies will also level up and be at the same level or greater than you. I poke the game files several times to create my own mods for my third playthrough and found the level scaling feature on items and enemies/monsters with "new game plus" tag on it. I will not be surprised if Witcher 3's New Game+ will be much challenging than Death March.

@Devil-Walker Sorry, but it seems like we will not get Wild Hunt armors and items as I hoped before, at least not from free DLCs. Perhaps from the expansions?

I'm running out of things to do :(

Need DLC

So, New Game+ will not arrive with 1.08 .

I guess not, they said that they need more time for the New Game+ DLC. Maybe patch 1.08 this week and New Game+ for next week.

By the way, just upgraded to 780Ti + 1080p monitor (yes, I know, I'm THAT late for 1080p gaming haha), fired up Witcher 3 and whoa... it's like a whole new adventure for me :D waiting for New Game+ to start a new adventure.

1.08 is up ... it's 7.5 GB ... Why so large FFS oh, it displays 7.5 to be patched, not to be downloaded

The official modkit has been released! If you don't feel like modding yourself, this should vastly increase the mods available within months, as mods won't be limited to superficial aspects of the engine. The modkit is available on Nexusmods.com, the official Witcher 3 mod repository. Here is the announcement from the devs on GOG: http://www.gog.com/news/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_now_with_mod_support

How long does it take to complete this game ciz I have heard stories
