@GreiverBlade Hmmm that might be an explanation for the left-side penetrating shots.
One instance was over the right side applique though, and right in the middle of all the plating, where there is no gap. This is interesting though.
I have a suspicion that the Ramka-99 penetrations are caused by the weakness of the two headlights on each side of the driver hatch, or the turret ring. Apparently those two lights are weak, and the turret ring is completely unprotected on Ramka unlike Termi 2, which has a lot of Relikt covering the ring. With sufficient penetration such as the M8's it might go clean through.
Also, I came across this video describing the Vickers MBT Mk.7/2
While the early models of the Vickers MBT basically looked like Centurions, this one seemed to be a Chally 1/2 type turret mated to a Leopard 2 hull and MTU 883. Also claims to be Chobham armoured, probably first generation Chobham like the Challenger.
I guess I really shouldn't be posting this as it encourages OE to just add more and more useless tanks .......but it's an interesting find nonetheless. I think it's quite the looker; the Chally turrets always were sleek and the Leopard 2 hull looks absolutely stunning on just about anything. I wonder what would've happened if the British actually had some common sense and switched over to this instead of being stubborn with their stupid rifled 120mm. At least this one can fit a L/44 without any modification.
Jingles talked about the Chally 2 in his latest video, and according to him the Chally is basically dead. The 120mm rifled gun is accepted to be the weakest MBT armament in service today, and yet it cannot be swapped for a L/44 or L/55 because that would require a major turret and hull redesign. Worse still, no one makes any more ammo for the 120mm rifled gun and the outdated CHARM 3 is basically the best that any challenger will get.
