Man....wtf is your deal? You set rules in opposition to having a good competition, because some may and some may not follow the rules...and as there is absolutely NO way to tell, you've CREATED an unfair environment. For someone that says he likes fairness so much....that seems folly. THEN, you start banning people because they don't agree with you? lol

2. The TPU forums aren't the end all beat all of PC / overclocking forums. In fact, they barely register...I put it on the same level as LTT forums, and JUST ever so slightly above Tom's Hardware. So, get over yourself.

I have ZERO issue with any of the scores listed or anyone in the thread.

My concerns with the thread are the odd rules for the benchmark and the incessant waffling over rules. Typically, these threads are created with rules in mind already and by those who know what they are doing (sorry, I told you I was direct to a fault!). Vellinous hit the nail on the head in that the point of benchmarks are to get the highest FPS/score possible. So to put limits on things that are SO DIFFICULT to discern (i.e the texture filtering) will really bring into question the validity of the result.

In no way do I think this is to spite me or a slight towards me or anyone else that participated with results or to assist with rules. You are doing your best to to make this thread a success. However, you missed the overall point of benchmarking and the rules you are putting in place make it difficult to police. If it was me running it, I would have let all tweaks happen, and separate by AMD and NVIDIA, or just say no tessellation tweaks on the AMD side, and have one large result table. Its just too convoluted and too hard to catch cheaters.

Also, on your other question, Valley reports the 980 as 4GB of VRAM because that is how much VRAM the 980 has.

In fairness most of the ~100 posts so far are just jibber jabber. It's not like there's ~100 scores listed(looks like 18 so far). And I never got around to changing the rules to allow 1920x1080 windowed. I've been considering changing the rules to allow it. But I haven't done so yet. And I'm still waiting to hear what everybody else has to say about it. I'm only considering allowing it so more people would be able to play the game. Is that somehow a bad idea?

Anyways, other than that I really don't know what you're talking about. But regardless I'm sorry if I ruffled your feathers. That wasn't my intent.

Your core speed makes no sense for that score IMO. I've listed it as such anyway. Since if the clock speeds you state are correct, then I don't care what's shown in the screenshot. But the issue has been raised before. So I thought I'd let you know ahead time.

It was an F12 from within valley.... what looks suspect about it? The GPU-Z was a seperate screenshot.

Edit - the blackness? i was fast with my F12 after the bench ended and the window appeared is all... If you think its too suspect I wont argue up to you. Thanks for the thread having some fun pushing OC again.

Oh man. So muh for that 3 plade. Oh well two gtx 970 is no mach for two gtx 980 ti.

But it look like my seven year old i7 920 holds up well compare to systems with newer cpu and same grafich card setup.
