Whats with the hype behind Blood and Wine?

Well, it's 20 hours MINIMUM Expansion Pack, like days of old (probably more like 35 in reality). That's more than many AAA games! And also simply because CDPR went out with such a bang on the Witcher series that even several 130 hour playthroughs of the main game and 15 or so hours of Heart of Stone is not enough to whet the appetite for MOAR Witcher.

The new expansion add a whole new area called Toussaint, andit's beautiful and huge.

Also some stats of the new expansion are :

• 90 new quests
• 40 new points of interest
• Maximum New Game+ level upped to level 100
• 20 new monsters
• 30 new weapons
• An all-new Gwent deck (Skellige)
  
• A vineyard to run

you need to have a poet under pressure quest completed if you want to use a previous save game for blood and wine. im getting to that point on my game+ and since im lv70 and geared it should be done with that quest tonight lol.

CDPR will probably put out a TW3 Enhanced Edition right? I don't remember how far after the release of their previous games that they compiled everything into one package plus a huge list of big fixes and optimizations.

Well... said to have more than 20 new hours of gameplay... for a DLC.
CDPR also released an update last night, adding enhanced GUIs (might add a different feel and experience) and many improvements for the final DLC.

This one hell of a expansion indeed, so many cool stuff and hell yes new horse armors lol.
the oferi saber u can craft from heart of stones, has to be the best steel wep. well im still early on blood and wine so we'll see if i find something better.

the city is pretty big, hell the map is pretty damn big.

one of the new horse armors, i kept the skellige saddle cuz it looks better and the new saddle only gave 10 more weight points. i think there is like 8 styles of the armor but only the silver one u see here has plate on front and back, i kind of wish it had a skirt it might have looked better.

im running and alchemy and sword build, well with the new mutation skills. there is one that increases your sword damage 0.75% to a max of 198.75%. thats pretty op. i hit so hard lol.

as u can see there, i do 158% extra damage with 3 concoctions with the acquired tolerance skill.

I wonder if they will do any witcher spin off games, because this is the first one i have played more than an hour of and I absolutely love it, but I dont want to go back to Witcher 2 to get more of it after i do everything in Witcher 3.

since they established travel between worlds, they could easily make more games.

Not sure what to do here...I just started a NG+ and only just starting Velen really so I have a long way to go to reach A Poet Under Pressure. I do have my old saves though from when I finished my first play through. Wishing I crafted Wolven Armor in my last play through so I could do a slightly different build.

it is a long way and u need to be lv62+ if u dont want to inta die that is

This is probably the only game I have ever played twice and it is almost as amazing as the first time so having to play through it again is not entirely a bad thing. I suppose it allows me to extend Geralt's adventures for a few more months.

That is sweet. A little bit bulkier than the slim Mastercrafted Feline though. I myself use the Grandmaster Wolven.

Lol I just did that quest 10mins ago.

I like the look of the wolf armor better but man the cat looks decent in all black and that dps.

I'm pretty sure my geralt is a sith lord.....

I'm loving this map.

i encountered a major bug it seems and really sucks.
with the new mutation tree you can get an extra 4 skill slots, well mine is bugged cuz it will only unlock 3. i guess that's better than 0. i wasn't able to find any info on the bug, maybe i'm the first to encounter it. if anyone else runs into this let me know

as you can see it says i unlock all 4 ability slots

but look here, one is still locked.....wtf lol.

there a quest that's bugged but you can get around it. the quest called the smitten knight or whatever it is that you compete in the tourney. when you agreed the knight will ask if you want to train. say no cuz the horse back training is bugged and you will be stuck till you reload a previous save.

Thanks for THAT! have you reported it? CDPR is extremely likely to fix both these bugs, just because that's how they are (and these sound like serious bugs).

I'm waiting a little while before continuing my third playthru (I'm level 17, and coincidentally, in the Poet under Pressure quest) and then moving on to Blood and Wine. I figure most bugs will be squashed in a month or so.
