Apparently the melee factor is gonna be high in this game.
Not something I look forward to though, pressing the melee button while sprinting and getting an advantage versus a rifleman.

Have a feeling it will rip off RO2/Rising Storm's terrible balance mechanic to make melee more viable. Bunch of Soviets or Japanese players charging in RO2/RS make it impossible to aim and hit them. Screen gets thrown all over the place and your vision gets blurry. I hated that. I have a feeling BF1 will rip that horrible mechanic off, which would be terrible.

I'll miss all the vehicles. But I can do without fighters/attackers. They always sucked in BF games for many reasons, including the shoe box sized map. But the rest? I'll miss them.

Hopefully if there are any tanks or vehicles with weaponry they wont have unlimited ammo (like bf2 if i can remember correctly) especially air vehicles -_-

Most of the time tanks (in bf4) are dead before they would use the amount of shells they came with. A Sherman tank carried 72 rounds. A M1A1 has 48. I don't see tanks that last that long in game very often..sometimes. But Jets, yeah those are F'ing lame. Unlimited missiles, bombs and bullets. They should have to land and refill ammo.

its even worse when the player has a joystick (for air vehicles)

Planes had far from unlimited ammo in BF2. After dropping your bombs you had to go back to base and refill. In that way, planes in BF1942 were much more deadly... but also much easier to hit.

Snoop Dogg got help from his secret weapon, the joint.

Yeah a lot of the celebs used near enough the same class,i really do like the bolt action rifles though.
There was a funny camera shot of Wiz Khalifa most likely smoking pot while they're having their few mins break lol,you can easily tell who the pros are just by them using mouse+keyboard. Except Terry crews of course because he is Terry Crews and the man that just made me laugh when he appeared.

Edit: 4 maps, 3 game modes. I'm watching the slow, painful death of BF. I was kind of hopeful with the no auto repair, but I should have known better when I saw that they changed the way Conquest works. Instead of neutering all the classes so that no one class is overly strong (similar to BF2) they decide to change Conquest so kills don't count toward ticket burn. They literally tweaked the core BF game mode for the lowest common denominator.

As I said elsewhere, looks more like a WWII with lots of historical leeway game than WWI game with lots of historical leeway. Everyone has an automatic weapon and jumps up/down walls like monkeys in 1 second. If they were going to be lazy and not make the gameplay fit the theme they should have continued with modern, which is a better time period.

BC2 / BF2 / 1942 / BF3/4 don't have any weapon rules to, this is BF not Verdun, you can play with what ever weapon or class you want.

These, obviously, aren't the extent of what's going to be available. They're just a taste, and we'll update these pages as we approach the October 21 release (or October 18 if you pre-order the Early Enlister Edition). We can’t wait to tell you more.
