Funny, because I just had an R9 380 for the past 3 months and saw "hotfixes" every month , but no official driver update.

This should get you permabanned. Either you're too stupid to understand that whql means nothing (identical drivers as the so-called "betas") or you're trolling for the sake of sucking on Jen-Hsun's schlong.

You are buying a bunch of 970? Why would you want old 3.5GB vram cards that runs hotter and perform worse?
Affordable VR for masses :rockout:BTW, it is still upwards $350 locally...

On the serious note - 4GB RX480 sounds good. If the performance is near of what's promised at CES and Computex, then I'm sure a third-party ITX version is what I'm gonna get.
The only downfall is bye-bye CUDA for hobby projects, but at least I'll get enough motivation to learn OpenCL.

RX480 Crossfire results, I might upgrade my HTPC after all. That old 5870 really can't get any more games running in my living room.

This RX480 hype is getting wilder than last year's FuryX. I wonder what Vega might really bring.

If what your posted turns out to be true (The Videocardz benchmark) and this is just the 480 with a 480X hiding in the shadows then its a good value card. Lets hope its at least that good and overclocks!

Theres no way Amd can release a card with that HIGH a performance level for that cheap. It doesn't make sense business wise. If Amd has a ton of Available cards or past architecture cards....yes. Can't think of one new launch that ever that did.
Like what AMD's thinking, AMD loved to poke their 480's in CF was faster then a 1080 but that is in AOTS which was AMD favored game. I am pretty sure that 480's in CF is probably only 10-15% faster then a 1070 is. So they had to price it at 200$ cause if they priced it higher to start it would be a bit of a toss up and even now it is to go with 1 card that is almost as fast or CF 2 cards for a hair more speed. Even with same price its still 4gb cards vs 8gb cards which if you run the higher rez like 1440 could start to show itself more and more over next year. 1080p gaming probably won't be noticed barely and be fine.

I know rumors are flying around about 1500mhz people can get outta them, kinda sounds far fetched. I think 1400mhz is probably gonna be the lucky one's given AMD's recent history of clocking as much as they can get outta gpu so their cards are on par with nvidia's.
