Ok guys I'm looking into getting a GPU for my rig i built which will be for rendering and gaming at 1080P. And i saw this XFX RX 480 GTR which really grabbed my attention with the specs and cooling solution. The problem is i can't find a single review on it at all. Does anyone personally own this card and can chime in on how it performs.

You can wait for reviews or simply buy it, from the looks the card seems good for me. If it's bad or loud or so you can still return it, but the risk on a 150W TDP card and such a big cooler isn't high I'd say, it's not a 290X.

I purchased it but I'm still curious to see how people like it and how it does under load.

Curious how it performs under load temperature wise...:)

I think you will be happy with this one.

144c at stock clocks, cooked my bacon well on this GPU.

I'm kidding, it looks like a killer card!

I know you guys been waiting for me to post my performance results but my last parts got delayed in transit so currently i don't know when they will be here :banghead:

LOL! Well spotted. That said they are pretty good fans so great recycling on his part.

The heatsink looks like a very well thought out design.

Sorry guys i know it's taking forever for me to post results but so much has been going on i ended switching parts in my rig and currently awaiting my new RAM and CPU

After everuthing is situated I'll start the benching process

I take it this is on 1080p right ? that min fps is a bit low compare to my 970, is the 480 just not up to it or your X5650 is holding it back ?

Doubt it is holding it back since it's faster than your 3770.

sure, in multi threaded apps. I'm not so sure in gaming though, since my 3770 is @4.1
