Yea I know how it works. Still doesn't make sense to cool it through the back of the card.The card is a Hybrid card meaning it can do either or both on cooling it. The watercooling is not for cooling the back of the card, it is cooling the GPU similar to cards like the Asus Poseidon series.
Basically, you can plug this card in and go with no issues what so ever or you can hook up the water cooling and have both the fans and the water loop cool the card as well. The design is just a bit different than normal for this idea which is why it looks confusing (Unless I am misunderstanding something).
