Colorful Unveils the iGame GTX 1080 KUDAN

The card is a Hybrid card meaning it can do either or both on cooling it. The watercooling is not for cooling the back of the card, it is cooling the GPU similar to cards like the Asus Poseidon series.

Basically, you can plug this card in and go with no issues what so ever or you can hook up the water cooling and have both the fans and the water loop cool the card as well. The design is just a bit different than normal for this idea which is why it looks confusing (Unless I am misunderstanding something).
Yea I know how it works. Still doesn't make sense to cool it through the back of the card.

but can it make a cup of coffee, they bolted just about everything else they could to it.

Almost everyone is too quick to jump to conclusions. I want to see temperature & dB benchmarks of this graphics card first before commenting. PLEASE, TPU, make it happen!:toast:

I'm not sure why everyone thinks the water cooling is only on the back of the card. the large heatsink in the front also has water connection points.

九段真是越来越奇葩。。。七彩虹根本不会做散热的
I highly doubt what colorful is doing on the cooler... I used its 780ti before with 3 fans and 5 heat pipes, 3 slots, but it was still really hot like 78 C when running furmark.

i highlighted the important part of that sentence

Ahhh leave it to Colorful to bring the crazy....

yes colorful did that lol and also one with no fans and a quad slot I believe

some pics of things odd from the restView attachment 81426 View attachment 81427 triple slot 680 no fans xD

Thanks for those but they aren't what I was remembering.

Do you mean the Voodoo5?

How dare you insult a Voodoo5! :p

You mean like this?

This is the Gigabyte card I was thinking of when you said that.

Colorful is crazy, love them for that though!

That is indeed the monstrosity I was recollecting :toast:

Its hot when you consider its 3 slots.

No, no it isn't. You still have to dissipate 250+ watts of heat with junk low profile fans.

The "watercooling-powered backplate" appears to be an acrylic reservoir. There are a few threaded inserts for tubing fittings on the backplate. You can see red and black wires attached to the backplate in the third photo which I would guess are to power LEDs. The front of the card is the waterblock plus aluminum fins and fans. It is likely very similar to what Asus did on their Poseidon cards. The waterblock on the front has a few threaded connections on the end piece that you can see in the third photo. This is where you would attach barbs at tubing for the GPU. There is likely a pump buried somewhere under that monstrosity of a 3-slot cooler or inside the silver block on the end of the cooler.
