bla bla..... let me se the smoking gun before I judge anybody... But it would be fun if it is true, and it would be grate if intel really realize that they have fucked up.... if they have... (if intel just have been sitting around and doing nothing.. I hope they have something good they just have hold back because there was no reason to release it.)

No proof, no details... throw dirt and some will stick. :)

In the online review world (blogs and stuff) we got used to often fairly poor quality of news and reviews, but honestly - wouldn't you expect a professional journalist to contact Intel for official statement?

From what we've seen in the leaks, the "guidance" from Intel could as simply be an information that they've been prepared and an answer is going to be released soon, so that the reviews would end with something like:
"Intel says they'll upcoming CPUs will make them competitive once more"
instead of:
"Will Intel respond?"

Sure, we might call this "stealing AMD's thunder" or simply an aggressive marketing strategy, but "dirty"?

It's not possible to manipulate with reviews like that when 350$ CPU overclocked is faster than 1700$ CPU.
How you can explain that. Only to lose reputation with lies.
A lot of people say that Intel change very little from Nehalem and it was not hard to understand that ASUS ROG sell their processors with their premium motherboards.
But Intel was only option last 3 years or serious performance drop. AMD had problem to pull max from Kepler architecture and there are two more newer.
It's good because this is not able to compensate with 100-200$ lower price, 200-300MHz higher clock and 10-20% improvement and Intel now need 50% improvement, good for customers who get 5% every year and new chipset. New chipset need for 5% upgrade. Because of that I decide to change to Xtreme, I couldn't stand to my platform is outdate 5 months after build. From that side AMD could be very good investment. Socket will be compatible with new models up to 5 years maybe, chipset 2-3 years.

Sad part is intel got DEC's IP for the alpha etc and did nothing really good with it... They only wanted it so no one else could have it.

Actually, the bus that made Athlon great (EV6 or EV7 iirc), was also something AMD got from DEC ;)
And Microsoft got the guys that did NTFS.

see, this is the type of title people have a problem with

the call us could mean multiple things, a reviewer can cherry pick or cherry smash based on what intel says, but this doesnt count as dirty yet, it depends on what variable is changing

Benchmark Scores 3050 scores good 15-20% lower than average, despite ASUS's claims that it has uber cooling.
So not anything unusual.

Well, define "unusual":
Let's start with the obvious. NVIDIA is more aggressive than AMD with trying to get review sites to use certain games and even make certain GPU comparisons.
http://www.anandtech.com/show/3988/the-use-of-evgas-geforce-gtx-460-ftw-in-last-nights-review

Remember, what happened to Anand earlier, when they did not bend over?

It's not possible to manipulate with reviews...
It sure is.

Stop whining. We all know there's nothing in the pipeline at intel. If Ryzen delivers as expected, intel can only counter through marketing and pricing for a while. They will push boundaries and occasionally step across them if that saves them some $$$. It's not nice, pretty or maybe even legal, but was anyone expecting anything else? This is business, not a family affair. (Not that some families won't stab you in the back on occasion either.)

This.

CD lost credibility a long time ago. We'd need proof from a review site of this.
Here is an email I saw...

'We hear there may be some news from amd coming out tomorrow (a few days ago)..would you like a statement from Intel'?

It used to be far worse during the P4/A64 era.

Anyway I'll be back to the AMD camp if the reviews turn out to be positive.

intel at its finest... tricks like these (to threten media) will not even cost a few hundred millions $ for intel... but there is more dirty plays from intel that costed billions for them in the past...and intel did pull it trhough - that is why we find our selves in such a horribly uncompetitive CPU market (... well till 02.march at least)

To be fair I am the CPU reviewer at TweakTown, I communicate with Intel at TweakTown, and they didnt try and ask me to talk to them about my Ryzen review and our relationship is fine. Maybe they only did it with press they thoight would use amds slides instead of making their own? idk

Not surprised at all. The more obvious proof that Intel is indeed guilty of trying to manipulate the Ryzen reviews is the fact that Intel has yet to lower their CPU prices in order to be competitive with Ryzen's much lower, more aggressive pricing. Intel is invoking a multi-stage strategy whereby they will attempt to discredit or outright lie about Ryzen's performance. The last thing Intel wants to do is cut into profits and reduce the faith of shareholders. This approach, IMHO is extremely flawed and shows that Intel has not learned from the 2009 debacle where they were caught doing the same exact thing by giving away CPUs (as well as paying money) to vendors and PC hardware websites in order to receive a favorable reviews. This is just one more reason why I am switching teams to AMD from Intel. I will NOT miss my 5-year old 3930K at all. Thanks for the memories Intel :p My R7 1800X arrives on Thursday! :D

I had the pleasure of meeting him in person at some of the media events... the vibe you get from his articles, are the vibe you get from him as a person....
