Visual settings + performance:
Anti-Alisasing ( very low, medium, ultra ):

No performance impact and nice and sharp on every setting! Very low does make everything look very pixelated.
My recommendation: Ultra

Post Processing ( very low, medium, ultra ):

Very low makes the game look blurry but does provide best performance. Only 1% performance decrease ( medium ) makes everything sharp again. But with 4% performance loss, you can put it on Ultra.
My recommendation: Medium or Ultra if your system can handle it

Shadows ( Very low, medium, ultra ):

No performance increase from very low to medium but around 5% decrease with this setting on very high. Since not all shadows are sharp, and some of them flicker you actually get a visual downgrade by putting the shadows on "Ultra". Adding extra shadows also makes it harder to spot enemy targets. So there is really no reason why you should put it on Ultra, unless you just want to take a nice looking screenshot.
My recommendation: Very Low

Textures:
With the amount of giff compression there is no visual difference I can show this way. Just know that there is no performance impact and this setting on low makes the game look very older then it is. It might help you to spot enemies better though because there is less contrast from a distance.
My recommendation: Ultra ( or very low if you are very competitive )

Effects ( very low, medium, ultra ):

No visual difference at all. I have no idea what this setting does. But if it's to show a nice looking explosion every 30 minutes, it not worth 14% performance impact.
My recommendation: Very low

Foliage ( Very low, Medium, Very high ):

No visual difference ( unlike early builds ) but a very small impact from very low to Ultra.
My recommendation: Very low

View Distance ( very low, medium, ultra ):

Again almost no visual difference or performance impact. On other scenes you do see more mountains or buildings in the background but I honestly doubt you would be able to spot enemies better with it on ultra. Personally, I wouldn't risk putting it on low though.
My recommendation: Ultra
Summary:
There is almost no visual difference or performance impact anymore on the different settings. Only "Shadows" and "Effects" on low can still give you a massive performance boost. And unlike previous builds, AA and post processing on Ultra are the way to go for the most beatifull and sharp images.

Did you play on the Test Server before?

I didn't, only the early access.

I did have some issues gettin a game earlier on, but i've just played a good 5 in a row no problem. Both maps are performing very well compared the non-test server early access.

This game is getting destroyed in Steam reviews right now!
There must be a reason for that...

I'm a big fan of this game but for now I'm going to leave it alone.

Updated game, installed drivers. Game runs like garbage (while usually i get 90-100fps). Ok, reset all settings, nothing. Change from fullscreen to fullscreen window - oh cool, 96fps. 5 minutes later game crashed. "bad_module_........". Restart the game, all good until all players spawn in the plane... Then plane drops ALL players at the very edge of the map, way before "Press F to eject" message appears. Ok, i run to the nearest town, grab a van and drive to the other side of the map where zone is. Time to get some loot? Sure, every time i touch the doors i get teleported back ~5 meters, barely can move. Then i said "OK, next time" and game crashed when i was about to press ESC -> Exit game. "bad_module_something".

Early access is over, welcome to full version of the game.

I honestly don't understand why they felt that they needed to release it as "finished". The forums were flooding with bug reports and not a single test build brought satisfaction to the community.
If they delayed the final release with an extra month, they could have had some extra time to fix the most ennoying bugs.

I didn't update drivers and the game runs perfectly fine. The only issue I had was the server load last night wouldn't let me into a second game.

To be honest, the game runs at a solid 60fps now compared to pre-update stuttering and frame drops at the same settings. Maxed both times.

Yup, game is unfinished. Not sure why so many people rush to defend some companies (Bluehole) but attack others (EA, DICE). It doesn't matter what your AAA is (whether it's that or just 'A') but PUBG, as much fun as it offers is still riddled with issues. It has exceptionally bad rubber banding (I play with folk across UK and EU), it has terrible object physics and serious lag issues (I was being specced and died on the spectator screen before I had even been shot on my own). If you want to play a beta version game, go for it - it's fun but dont expect a refined and polished game. Clumsy sums up PUBG quite well.

played a round with friends, no crashes or issues.

One of the squad did crash out, so it seems the causes of the crashes are server/netcode related

The game runs smoothly on my ancient X58 system with GTX 970.

My only complaints are: sometimes there is a network lag with the European servers, and the annoying cheaters, yet I get the upper hand quite often, but there are too many of them.

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS: CHEATER ONLINE deserves a lot of credit.

A decent and refreshing game from a small company, a lot more fun compared with all the recycled titles from the big companies.

After the update, my system feels a little bit smoother compare to my friend's i7 7700 and 1070 system.

His game crashes sometimes and feels choppier while my I5 750 and R9 280X system feels smoother without crashes and stays within 40 to 60FPS margin (60Hz monitor meh).

Overall, im satisfied with the update and release, yesterday got my first Dinner on the new map with my whole squad dying at the begining and finishing the game solo against squads, going full rampage on 2 squads with a Mini 14 and 4x Scope from the cliff near Pecado.

It’s pretty damn terrible. AFAIK it runs on Azure, pity because there’s a massive Elastic Compute joke in here.

Seriously, once you get through those first 5 odd minutes of item spawn and pop-in, it improves greatly. Still, you’d think that after the length of that early access period, and the number of players that played early access, they’d have ironed this type of thing out ages ago.

The other irritation I have is the “matchmaking failed” that seems to crop up frequently.

I think all the Chinese players invading other servers is to blame. I'm not being racist or anything but when they make up over 40% of the player base and bleed over it doesn't make things easier.

Yeah, it requires a ping limit. I'm also getting headshotted way too much from full auto fire. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.

played a few rounds last night, managed a 7 kill streak when we actually ended up on the aussie server

its maybe 1/3 of games we end up on the aussie server, and not thrown onto the jap/chinese ones (can usually tell by the voices in the global chat)

cant wait for the ping lock
