what does that mean? that i should sit and wait for eidairaman1 to find the right bios?

Can you export the bios using GPU-z and upload it then link here, ill see if i can find a stock bios matching it.

if he has no display at boot then it's either wrong flash for display port/s layout of that card, needs to test hdmi as well DVI I have had this happen in past DVI-1 didn't work but DVI 2 and hdmi did.

like I say just search for the bios of your card from techpowerup download it force flash it in DOS with the BIOS for the card using

atiflash -f -p 0 bios.rom
try this one that live or die linked first

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4flkNGCHIGFU2NPZXR1bm50dkk/view

or failing that try the + version

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/188657/sapphire-rx470-4096-161003

above is for the 8gig nitro+ (this one has bit less overclock I think so it's worth a try) but if you cand find someone with your card and get a copy of their rom file would be best choice surly someone on here has your card and could maybe can send you a copy of their cards rom file

there is an non nitro + version but its 4gig version .. it may work ? but probs on show 4gig? rather than 8gig that's if your card is really an 8 gig card

I know its for the + just test it at this point you have fook all to lose and you will still be able to re-flash it if not happy

I have done this loads of time with no problem

No stay away from using bios's from TPU for RX cards, there has been issues in the past from GPU-z dumping 256 KB files when they should be 512 KB, use the file i have linked as its for your card and is the correct size.

ahh ok what you said then :)

EDIT oh if TPU has resolved the issue then try the link I put up unless you have someone with your card that can give you a copy of their rom file but as live or die says if he has linked your correct rom file then use that.

yeah I think it will
although test other display outputs first just to see if it's displaying in it current state, from a different display port on rear of card.

just make a dos boot disk and flash card, you will be safe don't panic :)

i'm 100% sure the card can be recovered if its just bios rom problem

OK just to make sure
as you have no display from gfx card you have use onboard graphics for access to display to issues flash commands to the card you want to flash ok
right now, as your using your onboard graphics and have a grapchic card installed the PC would of give each display/graphics card a number either 0 or 1
im not sure but the onboard being used might be assigned the number 0 and amd graphics may have been assigned the number 1
try atiflash -i command to see what port number the amd card has been assigned
if its 0 the cmmand would be atiflash -f -p 0 biosname.rom
if its 1 then command would be atiflash -f -p 1 biosname.rom
not sure if you can type atiflash ? or atiflash /? to get list of commands cant remember now lol

I know but that doesn't mean the uploaded old bios's have been fixed also? if they have then sorry for the mislead there still 256 KB in size.

huh so your saying you cant reboot PC in dos via boot disk? you have to stay in windows CMD ? and use atiflash when did that happen ?

i need to check it out see if i can issue commands via DOS promt, because if you cant, that's new to me and thanks for the heads up

well he's correct you cant use dos mode with atiflash you will have to do it via CMD prompt, in windows search, cmd, right click it and run as admin I guess and type commands from there

I even tried disabling my motherboards TPM chip and setting secure boot drive to non UEFI support on the motherboard to see if that was stopping it lol

Yeah there isn't a version of ATIFlash that supports your card that works with dos, you will have to use your IGPU and set your bios to use it as default then flash it in windows with your card in PCI-e slot 0.

thanks for the heads up, maybe you can direct the OP from here

OP make sure when in CMD you are in correct directory where atiflash files are and rom file is for example if you create a folder on C drive called "rom" put atiflash files in the folder and rom file

in windows search CMD, right click on it run as admin
type (without typing C:\ bit I just put that here as in cmd )
C:\ cd /
C:\ cd rom (or what ever you name the folder with files in)
then atiflash commands

I think you have covered it :).

but its
cd C:\foldername < put atiflash and bios in here name is something simple make sure its .rom or rename it if it isn't
then
atiflash -f -p 0 bios.rom

like Salty said before 0 is your PCI-e slot in most cases it will be 0 you can also type atiflash -i to list the info to be sure.

I highly recommend making sure your system is not being overclocked by any 3rd party software or by messing around in BIOS of motherboard, you want the motherboard setting to be at default settings to be on safe side, any overclock might cause issues … better to be safe than sorry.

to list the full set of commands for atiflash, in cmd just type atiflash it will give you a list of all its commands and some examples
try the rom file live or die linked

i just tested in CMD (admin) and it would only work if i put all files from atiflash in folder i tried just the atiflash exe but it wouldnt work it needs to have all atiflash files in same folder as rom file

so create a folder on C drive just name it "a", in the folder you created on C drive called "a" put all atiflash files and the rom file into folder, you can rename the rom file to whatever you like. I rename simple name just for quickness of typing

Make sure you motherboard chipset drivers installed first! no overclocking apps that maybe bundlled

Live or Die Bios rom link 512KB https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4flkNGCHIGFU2NPZXR1bm50dkk/view

if that don't work try (hopefully the above should resolve your issue)

TPU Bios link but this is the nitro+ says 256kB size https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/188657/sapphire-rx470-4096-161003

eidairaman1 has linked below the non + (but says unverified rom) but should be ok ?

once in CMD (admin)
type
cd /
cd a
atiflash -i
(the atiflash command above will/should give you the gfx card port number for the AMD gfx card, either 0 or 1 so just replace the 0 with a 1 in the atiflash command below if it says 1)
atiflash -f -p 0 biosname.rom

oh and reboot the PC once everything has finished.

I'm die'n to know if the OP's issue is resloved LOL lets hope we have figured it out :) the suspense is killing me, heh....

im losing my zen too lol
im heading home rn the fun starts soon

Ok there are only 2 other files I have found

This one says not Nitro+
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/189628/189628

This one just says OC
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/200826/200826.

Here is the file @kastriot provided, you really have nothing to lose.

https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...70-8gb-and-it-has-issues.248311/#post-3918748

Bear in mind 1 person had to flash like 10 times with the same file to remove any corruption in the eeprom.
