when i click on images on the frontpage and then i close with "X", the screen does not stay at the news article I was at, but jumps back to the top of the mainpage. (i hope I explained myself well

Firefox. Edge does not do this. neither Chrome.

This issue has been present for many weeks. It is seriously annoying. Please fix it.

Finally had some time to look into it.

The issue is with the YouTube embeds, not sure yet why.

Any chance of a cute facepalm emoticon? It's great for when someone does something a bit silly and can add a dash of humour to a post. An animated one would be even better.

I'll second that. It never used to do this and no other site does this either, so it must be a glitch.

I moved the embedded YouTube from the Project Stream to after the break, so it's no longer on the frontpage and the image viewer no longer jumps back. Please confirm
