IMO, stop thinking Intel GHz style, AMD don't need to go "5Ghz+" since it's already mentions that clock speed gonna suffer fron now, so they need to improve IPC and such to improve the performance.
So maybe we are back in Athlon 64 days when AMD's lower clock matched Intel's high clock parts. (Athlon 64 3000+ was P4 3Ghz equivalent at 1.8Ghz! )
So think like "Ryzen 3000 will boost to 5Ghz Intel equivalent" but in reality it will be just around 4.5Ghz.
