could be interesting for a mini-itx build. I'd like to try something like that someday, but i have no reason to go that small eh.

If only these kinds of cards came to the US. The Galax GTX 1070 Katana was the last one that even had a purchasing option here, but it was extremely overpriced and basically never went above base clock. Hope this one does better.

I like this. I remember when powerful high end cards had dinky coolers like this...

If the heatsink was dual slot I'd be all over this card, tbh likely my favorite new cooler design, aside from single slot

Good news for you than, there are 86 other options available from every vendor on earth that aren't single-slot! Practically endless choice.

For those that want single-slot, this is it.

Very likely! Heck, they might get a 2060 or 2070 on single slot at that point. Of course by then we might have the RTX3xxx range.

This might be a bit off-topic, but I feel it relates; Has anyone else noticed that in the past few years the industry has gone from being rather "blah" and stagnant, to really exciting due to creativity and competition? It's almost as if we're entering a new golden age for the PC industry! This card, though not super remarkable, is an example.

They should have ditched the DVI in favor of two more civilized ports.

Always good to see cards like that, but availability of those is always a problem.

I really like this, I do miss the single slot designs back from 8 series but no doubt these will mainly be available for asian market..May upgrade the GF PC with this single design if it does get a UK release.

DVI is still widely in use most places in the world.
The only reason to have native DVI port on GPU is when connecting an older display which supports high refresh or high resolution modes only on DVI via DVI dual link.

In all other cases - where DVI single link is sufficient - cheap adapters from either HDMI or DP can be used.

Having DVI on GPU results in having both less ports, and worse ones. But it probably makes it few cents cheaper ;)

Which are still commonly in use in the market this card is aimed at. Heck, my 1440p displays both have DVI inputs.

I don't know of many ITX cases that don't support 2 slot cards, usually they are length limited.

True, but that requires the slot next to the 16x slot to be block by the overhanging video card. With this card you have room for a GPU and another expansion card like a dedicated soundcard, capture card, Etc, Etc..

Yeah but they all look god awful compared to this beauty. Maybe if you read my comment you'd understand that the only perceivable downside to me is the single slot.
