yes, when i look at the certificate in the driverstore it changed to differentsli and there is no error during the install script, and by the way, if it not copied i think it not say you than your system is sli capable and you not have the option to switch in sli performance mode

You mean to say that you DO have the SLI Performance Mode button?
So the system crashes as soon as you activate SLI?
If this is the case, all software requirements would be fulfilled, so there's nothing you could do regarding install.
Then the problem is on the hardware side.

Trying the old method, with patcher 1.7.1. & driver 388.71, might be worth a shot as well.
With 980s there's not much to gain from the 4xx driver generation.

The patching of the driver file is no longer done by DifferentSLIAuto.exe
It has be done by changing bytes at certain offsets using a hex editor.

Start here:

The offsets for 430.86 can be found here:

Hello! =)
I have MoBo m5 a97 lt r2.0
CPU FX 8350 no overclocked and two 1080ti
i'm editing nvlddmkm.sys, and i can't save it. So i disabled adaptors, and after changing file nvlddmkm.sys drivers just breaking, non activating.
procedure with install.cmd not doing nothing
just write
Code:
SUCCESS: The file (or folder): "C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_ref_pubwu.inf_amd64_2e7fa54192fe16d0\nvlddmkm.sys" now owned by the administrators group.
processed file: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_ref_pubwu.inf_amd64_2e7fa54192fe16d0\nvlddmkm.sys
Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files
The operation completed successfully.
The system cannot find the file specified.
Reboot now for changes to take effect

variant with DifferentSLIAuto1.7.1-win10 and 388.13 does the same thing - just breakind the driver. I want exactly 430.86, because i need DXR
Please, if you know issue, help

It works without safe mode
Hi guys,
I'd like to know how exactly you ran driver without the safe mode?
Step by step, if you please.

I tried to do the task through Windows Task Scheduler, made it work at Windows startup.
Below, you can find the script for my 2X 1060Nvidia

@Echo off
cd /d C:\SysUtils
:: the above string is a place where you have dsefix.exe
start dsefix
devconx64 disable "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C02&SUBSYS_85B01043&REV_A1"
devconx64 disable "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C02&SUBSYS_37241458&REV_A1"
devconx64 enable "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C02&SUBSYS_85B01043&REV_A1"
devconx64 enable "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1C02&SUBSYS_37241458&REV_A1"
ping 127.0.0.1 -n 17 > nul
start dsefix -e

FYI:
You can't drive the games with EasyAntyCheat protection, using this script

What kind of Windows are you using?
and do you use testing mode?
A lot of online games use protection and it does not allow testing mode, how did you solve this problem?
who can suggest solutions?
as my solution uses a virtual box and not to let it pass. Easy Anti-Cheat protection but it works perfectly BattlEye anti-cheat and others

Hi all, i have some problems with SLI, in Fallout 4 performance scaling as sh1t, in GTA 4 and PvZ:GW2 also bad scaling, 1gpu>2gpu, and a lot of stutters, like some bandwidth problem, but cards used on PCIe 3.0@8x + 3.0@8x on Asus Z87 Pro, but i don't see differents when cards use on PCIe 2.0@4x + 2.0@4x on ASRock 970M Pro3, in games no differents, in Heaven Benchmark 4.0 on Asus Z87 Pro +500 score, on two builds Heaven Benchmark work fine, but games don't, i tryed switching render method, profiles in Nvidia Inspector, but all i get — are more performance problems, maybe just this card need older driver? What you think about it? Specs of PC, 1)4790K@4.0, 16Gb@2400, Asus Z87 Pro, Ice Hummer IH-THOR, Plextor M6S 120Gb, Some Toshiba 2.5" 5.4K 1Tb, but it only for backup, system and games on SSD, Zalman ZM700W TX, TT Core P5 first generation; 2)9590@4.0 CPUNB@2.6, 16Gb AMD Only@2400, ASRock 970M Pro3, TT Big Typ 120VX + TY143+80mm fan inside, Samsung 860 EVO 250Gb, Zalman ZM700W TX, open stand with rear blow of MB around socket and VRM. The Videocards in all cases the same — two Gigabyte 750 Ti 2Gb with same stock BIOS on stock frequencies. Sorry for bad english.

Your English could be forgiven, but doesn't your keyboard have an Enter key for making line breaks?

In any case, performance on cards SLIed without a bridge depend entirely on a very good PCIe bandwidth.
Also a lot of games do not scale well with SLI.
Once SLI is running, drivers don't affect SLI scaling at all.

Sorry, there is no such manner of writing in the forums I live, but I don't understand, yes, it is easier to read, but half of the screen is empty, the era of 16:9 is now, like minimum, if not 21: 9.

> In any case, performance on cards SLIed without a bridge depend entirely on a very good PCIe bandwidth.
PCIe 3.0@8x is no enough for 2x 750 Ti? What about the strange pinout on the connector PCIe on my cards? By occasion is that not the source of problems?

P!nkpanther - means that the bandwidth of the PCI Express bus directly depends on the model of the north bridge chip

And yes PCIe 3.0@x8 enough for that, you use twice as much with two cards 2xPCIe 3.0@x8
you need to watch what happens under full load with the cards

What a load of BS. There's no need to sacrifice readability for cramming more text into the same area.
You're assuming that the reader is committed or interested to read every word in your wall of text.
Actually most readers are not, including me.
If a text doesn't let me skim quickly to find the most important things first, I quickly discard the thing and move on.

How should WE know anything about that connector on the card you have?
Please, try to review the questions you ask also from the perspective of the reader.

And as I said above: Some games do not scale at all with SLI. Some even scale negatively, like Fallout 4.
PCIe 3.0x8 may be enough or it may not, totally depends on the game.
The fact that Unigine Heaven does scale well indicates that SLI is working correctly and the other results are a consequence of games not supporting SLI and/or of using no SLI bridge.

Okay, it was ugly on my part, sorry.

I said that I have Gigabyte's 750 Ti, it's all have same PCIe connector, like on pic.

Maybe just cards work in no 3.0@8x, but like a 3.0@4x? And in Heaven Benchmark the system is not bottlenecking of bandwidth, but in games yes?
For example in GTA 4 when you load game save, in start room FPS 60-80, but only get out the first door like a FPS down to ~24.

Some MSI AF sensor show me Memory Controller Load, in room with 60-80 FPS this sensor show 30-35%, after first door 50-55%, if i correctly undestant what it is, 50% is like 50% usage PCIe 16x, but cards work on 8x, they should be work on 8x, but by not fully unsoldered pins of PCIe connector take me think they work around x4, not 8x, maybe i make a mistake, correct me.

The connector looks normal; what do you think is strange about it, as you said?
Or are you talking about the socket not having the same number of active pins?
That would be normal. On most mobos only the primary PCIe slot has the full x16 bandwidth available.

Whenever cards are using SLI without a dedicated SLI bridge, the data has to be transferred across the PCIe bus instead, making it saturate much easier, leaving less bandwidth for draw calls. Some programs are light on draw calls, like most benchmark programs, even some games are light on them.
Your setup will show pretty good performance in this situation.
However there are a lot of games making heavy use of draw calls, which with a normal system will work just OK. But with the additional bus load of the SLI frame exchange it might be too much and the frame rate drops. This might happen at PCIe 2.0 or 3.0, already at x8 or only at x4, it totally depends on the game and its load.
But there's nothing you can do than accepting the fact that a particular game is not going to run well, as long as you keep this setup.

Memory controller load has nothing to do with PCIe; it becomes important whenever you use high resolutions or heavy anti-aliasing.
What you want to monitor is something called "Bus Usage" or "Bus Load". This is the percentage of time being lost over the PCIe bus and is added to every frame per card.
A bus load of 50% basically means doubling of frame time, cutting FPS to half.

Has anybody gotten this to work on the EVGA X299 Dark board? I have 4x2080Ti FE cards with water blocks and the driver (I tried multiple versions) works to enable SLI but when launching 3DMark Time Spy it kicks a white screen and the system crashes hard. Tried just about everything I can think of other than a custom BIOS. The same cards work great on my ASUS WS Z390 Pro. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/7457811

Huge thanks to Sajin, bcavnaugh, P!nkpanther, Pretentious and the rest of the techpowerup following for the guidance on getting my first attempt successful! You guys are awesome!
