Hey P!nkpanther, I have a question.
If my laptop's dGPU is GTX 1070 and eGPU is GTX 1070, is it possible to SLI using Different SLI [AUTO]?
In other words, can I do SLI without using nvlink bridge?

Got the exact same results here too
The old patch has always had a very high success rate under various circumstances, so I'd recommend to check again in Device Manager whether the active nvlddmkm.sys actually is the one which you modified. Sometimes multiple old drivers exist on the same installation and while the patched file has installed correctly, the system still may be using a different, unmodified one.

We haven't had any reports about this situation here, so I can't confirm anything, but fundamentally I can't think of anything preventing this.
But as I always said, if you already have a second card to try, go ahead and install the patched driver, but don't go out and buy a second card relying on this patch to work in your specific situation.

My patch only addresses SLI compatibility at the motherboard level. As long as the GPU's are a match (e,g 1070 with 1070) it should work just fine as majority of people have reported it to be working.
I'm still pretty sure the issue is the same as I described on 117 but @XeroZen hasn't confirmed if he has checked it. Some xeon motherboards (especially if they are dual socket) have 2 separate instances/dll's for the same driver. Unless they are both patched SLI won't work (It took me a day to develop the patch and 3 days to realize that's what was preventing it from working...).

Please I need your help. I tired using search and only found bits and peace's. I have 2 gtx 1070 I'm trying to get running on a non compatible mother in sli with Different SLI Auto on windows 10 I can find the proper instructions I spent hours trying to get this working with no success.

I checked many times if the unmodified one or the modified one was being used and i confirmed that the modified one is the one which is being used.

Anyone get any newer drivers running on gtx 1070? I mostly use these gpu's to render and editing, The color on these old drivers is really bad compared to the newer ones.

help me pls bro

Just followed the instrutions

(1) Download and use DDU to uninstall current drivers

(2) Download and Install Nvidia 441.20 drivers.

(3) Then copy nvlddmkm.sys from system 32 to your desktop and hex edit.

441.20
0x001C80F5: 84 C7
0x001C80F6: C0 43
0x001C80F7: 75 24
0x001C80F8: 05 00
0x001C80F9: 0F 00
0x001C80FA: BA 00
0x001C80FB: 6B 00

(4) Use install.bat file from DifferentSLIAuto folder to patch nvlddmkm.sys

(5) Use the following in CMD (admin):-
bcdedit.exe /set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe /set NOINTEGRITYCHECKS ON
bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON

(6) Reboot your PC into safemode.

(7) Replace that hex edited nvlddmkm.sys into original location.

(8) Reboot your PC into normal mode.
As soon as you reboot into normal mode, You'll get notification in lower right side of screen that, SLI capable GPUs are installed.

Anti-cheat software refuses to comply with test signing mode. And there is no easy method to bypass that unfortunately.
Some members seem to have found a way, but I haven't tried it.
You might want to read a bit before and after this post:

Hi everybody! Just wanted to tell U story. Today there was some mistery error and my driver disappeared. I read this threat again nad installed driver 441.20, activated SLI and ran benchmark - there was just 1k. I DDU it again and installed 417.35 as I used to, activated SLI and there is 2,6k in benchmark again. Newer is not allways better :) I have 2 gtx 760. Good luck everybody and thank you 4 your work!

Hey guys,
could someone please help me out.
I´m fairly new to this topic and have trouble editing the .sys file.
What do i exactly need to edit?

For some older Versions is it clear, like here:

To summarize the new way of patching (4.xx driver generation) in one single post:
  • The install procedure for Windows 10 is still the same as outlined in this post (start reading below the video):
    https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/sli-with-different-cards.158907/post-3968942
  • Except that for patching nvlddmkm.sys you no longer use DifferentSLIauto.exe, but have to modify a series of bytes using a hex editor:
    From address 00000000002BB52F onwards change '75 05 0F BA 6B 24 0E' to 'C7 43 24 00 00 00 00' (valid for 417.35 and 417.71)
  • This new patch does no longer allow for SLIing different cards. Instead of 'SLI with different cards' you might call it now 'SLI on any MoBo'
Thanks to Pretentious for opening up this new way for patching the current generation of drivers!

But i can´t figure out what to change here:

441.20
0x001C80F5: 84 C7
0x001C80F6: C0 43
0x001C80F7: 75 24
0x001C80F8: 05 00
0x001C80F9: 0F 00
0x001C80FA: BA 00
0x001C80FB: 6B 00

P.S.

sorry for my bad English
English isn´t my native language

It basically means to go to offset 001C80F5 and change '84 C0 75 05 0F BA 6B' to 'C7 43 24 00 00 00 00'
I haven't tested these offsets though; I'm just explaining how to interpret this notation.

Versao windows 10 x64
LINK:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/5wdlm7

Segue imagem e arquivo ja modificado para download.

O procedimento de instalar é o mesmo ja citado nos posts anteriores.

Obrigado

After studying a little, and with the help of the forum, I was able to put two GTX 760 in one GA-Z77M-D3H

I haven't tested the performance yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

However, follows my contribution:

I have compiled the nvlddmkm.sys file from version 441.41
Windows 10 x64 version

Follows image and file already modified for download.

The procedure of installing is the same already mentioned in previous posts.

Thank you

Managed to patch nvlddmkm.sys file from QUADRO drivers v412.40 with DifferentSLIAuto1.7.1-win10 + HxD+Windows 10 Enterprise N LTSC v1809
Offset 002E64D5 and changed '84 C0 75 05 0F BA 6B' to 'C7 43 24 00 00 00 00'
MB Supermicro x9srl-f + pair QUADRO P4000 with SLI bridge
Driver dated from 7/21/2019 WDDM 2.4

Here is build-in bench METRO 2033 wo redux (with and without SLI), options used:
Resolution: 2560 x 1600; DirectX: DirectX 11; Quality: Very High; Antialiasing: MSAA 4X; Texture filtering: AF 16X; Advanced PhysX: Enabled; Tesselation: Enabled; DOF: Enabled
Results in CapFrameX 1.3.0
99% percentile with SLI 114.7 vs wo SLI 50.9 FPS
95% percentile with SLI 107 vs wo SLI 48 FPS

....so SLI definitely works in old METRO :) and scales perfectly with P4000 QUADRO v412.40 drv.
