AMD formally announced its AGESA ComboAM4 1.0.0.5 microcode. The new microcode is intended to be encapsulated into motherboard UEFI firmware updates and distributed by motherboard- and OEM desktop manufacturers, at their discretion. AGESA 1.0.0.5 improves POST (time) with select Micron Technology DDR4-3200 memory chips. An intermittent virtual memory error with certain Realtek onboard Ethernet PHY chips has been fixed. The microcode also improves PCI-Express bus stability and interoperability, in general. A PCIe lane configuration issue with Ryzen 3 Pro 2100GE has been fixed. Besides these, all other performance- and stability-improvements part of older 1.0.0.4 a/ab/abb/abba microcodes are incorporated into 1.0.0.5. Keep an eye on the BIOS updates section of your socket AM4 motherboard's product page on its company website.

MSI tends to release their new AGESA BIOS versions quickly, But they also tend to be buggier than the ASUS BIOS releases.
I will most likely update when Asus does release a new BIOS version with AGESA 1.0.0.5 for my ROG Strix X470-F, but I am happy to wait a while if it means it will work properly.

Still sitting on AGESA 1003 with my ASUS X370 and in six months there has been exactly zero updates. ASUS quickly releases bios updates only on their high end expensive motherboards, with the rest of their mobo lineup they release bios updates only when they feel like it.

ASUS is known to only support their high end motherboard like you said. The reason why I no longer use their board anymore.

I used to have Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3, Gigabyte is quite supportive as they have beta BIOS in their own forum and you can request for your board BIOS so user can test revisions of BIOS before they released.

How many last ones since August?
Agesa updates have brought nothing but improved compatibility and performance, no ones forcing you to update, what's the issue?

I'm on a Asus Prime X570-Pro which just had bios update on April 10th.

Version 1407 2020/04/1015.38 MBytes
PRIME X570-PRO BIOS 1407
"1.Improve system stability
2.Add BCLK Frequency and SB Clock Spread Spectrum items into BIOS Advanced mode. "

Will check back in a few weeks to see when a new bios is released on this AGESA version.

I installed the 1.0.0.5 on my MSI X570-A PRO via USB stick and it was not a problem to POST the new ROM

My G.Skill RAM uses Samsung chips which are not known to be problematic

I think A320, B350, X370, original B450 and X470 have all reached their end of lifetime support.
Or if they haven't, there can be only one update coming for Ryzen 4000 series support.

B450 MAX and X570 might continue receiving updates.
Maybe this is the last one.

I know lately the bios updates are not a problem anymore but i have had couple of bad experiences before so especially in these days where you might have to send back to repair and etc. I would advice everyone to hold it till things become normal.last thing is you want to wait months for it to be repaired and all. Just my 2 cents.

With my system I have to disconnect my sata drives which are in a Raid 0 array if I don't system doesn't boot up properly after a bios flash.

Once I plug the drives back in everything start up normally.

Asus does update the BIOS for their mid level boards as well as their top end boards, they just take a bit longer to do it.
As far as I know all their B450 and X470 MBs support Ryzen 3000 CPUs and so do almost all their B350 and X370 boards and even some of the A320 boards do.
Look at these:

I did see that, but all the B300 series boards I looked at did have the 1.0.0.3 AGESA so they do support at least Ryzen 3000 CPUs.
It seems like Asus is only regularly updating their B450 and X470 or newer BIOS.

Mine has received a BIOS update :D

It does look one version older, though, due to the date:

May mean that a newer version has just been released. Only God knows if or when we are going to see it.

It seems the ROG Strix X370-F and B350-F both recently got the AGESA 1.0.0.4B BIOS update:
