In this chart, 5700XT matches the 2070Super score. But in realtive game performance the 5700XT loses from 2070Super by ~8%.
So if this big navi is ahead of 3080 by ~8.5% then on gaming it will be ~equal.

Same perf with latest drivers, will be 5 % ahead of 2070S 6 months later.

Firestrike Ultra. Nice, but it says nothing. The bench dates from what, 2013?
Why is there no Port Royal?

"Estimation" and not the same GPU like you noticed...
Please man. There are not and my comment stands. Its the internet, if you have to search for it, you will find it, but that goes for everything you could possibly want. I could ask for Cyberpunk 2078 and find it probably. With release 'estimations'...

Latest 6800XT leak from igorslab.

Really? Leak? God almighty.

Are y'all that stupid or am I this smart? Surely its not the latter...

I have determined that everything is a lie and nothing is truth while at the same time everything is truth and nothing is a lie.

Wow and that's just the 6800XT. 6900XT is going to cause some real pain for Nvidia. Looks like I'll get the 6800XT and 5900X for my total rebuild

Do you guys know anything about this? I found it curious. There were pointers in the guidelines stating the use of asynchronous shaders in order to fill the pipeline during pixel shader 'bubbles'. This ports fixed functions to shader arrays and also cuts back on developer talent dedicated to asynchronous shaders which has an inefficiency in the pipeline as a prerequisite in order to be useful.

When can we expect to see to get review ?

If I can get 2080ti perf for $499 or less I don't care from which camp it comes from.

All these looks are looking good, higher regular gaming performance with a slightly lower TGP... i'm all in for changing my GPU.

From what I see the only thing Nvidia has to worry about is supplying enough of their cards to market .. AMD have never been able to compete on driver maturity or developer influence .. things that Nvidia have a proven track record of success with .. AMD can always compete on price and value but if any gamer wants the FULL eye candy experience in modern gaming it's still not a contest .. AMD have made some ground (coming from a very low benchmark) but will fall short once again once you crank up those quality settings with all modern enhancements on (Ray tracing, dlss, etc) .. Nvidia can still stand behind their motto "the way games are meant to be played" .. of course real benchmarks will count more than hype anyday and with the last 3 AMD pre-releases there's been ridiculous levels of hype that unfortunately fell well short of reality .. let's wait and see what pans out in REAL independent tests before biting off heads around a product that officially isn't even released.

And even if the Big Navi was a bit slower or equal to 3080, they still have IP that in a next iteration could be improved so much more, knowing it only has a 256bits bus wide. We're in a cool era anyway.

Where did you get it for around 300 dollars?

It was pure luck, I saw the add on the facebook market place for $500 AUS and it was only 30mins drive away from me, I msged the guy and said would you take $450 Cash for it ($320 USA Dollars) he said yes so I jumped on it!

I watched a bunch of these MSI Gaming 1080 ti's sell on Ebay and they all sold for around $650-$700 AUS dollars, so I was very happy to get it for $450. Hell people are still selling 1070 TI's for $450 here in AUS

Personally I think the 3080 is the more future proof option. More performance will come drivers are still early days (but they work and after a slight hiccup are extremely stable and run everything), dlss is a godsend and stability is the key. Can't wait to see these two fight it out in a proper benchmark to showcase the powerhouses they are such as cyberpunk with everything maxed out and RT on!!! Just remember amd is competing with nvidia not Intel.... I'm smelling the oven cooking Jensen.... What's coming for amd if these benchmarks are true.... Can't wait to see the fps these both reach on a amd 5000 series cpu aswell

DLSS will only ever work on specific titles, like PhysX before it.
Also, performance almost never raises up over the years as drivers mature, w1zzard has done testing on that in the past - googling i cant seem to find the article, but i know its here somewhere on TPU.

Not a huge difference but they can help I agree. As with the dlss we will have to wait and see as most RT games to date have this feature and with the consoles having limited (as in I dont think they will have the power to have all features on at once) RT I believe RT will be massive soon. I will stick with my 3080 as nvidia are solid and not many driver issues. But competition will bring the prices down in the future... Especially if Intel come in with a decent offering

You're confusing RT with RTX

RTX is an Nvidia exclusive, while RT is generic. RT is about to explode due to the new consoles using AMD hardware, which will cause RTX to become somewhat less relevant.

It'll be interesting in a way because
1. Both major consoles have AMD RDNA2 GPU's, so logically you can assume all console ports will support RT
2. Nvidia have the greater market share for GPU's, so you can assume PC exclusives will be targeted for DLSS/RTX.

Me personally? I dont want RT or RTX, but i see some appeal to DLSS and high refresh displays... as long as it works in all games, and not exclusive to certain titles.

RTX is the hardware component (RT cores) on NV GPUs. Turing based GPUs w/o RT cores are labeled GTX. Ill assume the same with Ampere... if any cards come without.

Actual RT is done via MS DXR. Same with AMD's implementation. Now you have both AMD and NV with the former in both the PC and console space. Adding to this, at least some new RDNA2 GPUs have RT hardware. If anything these things make RT gain momentum and the whole RT concept more relevant.

Close! $320 US and compared to the actual price of a 3080 ($1300 Aus) yes I won by a land slide.
Ok so the 1080Ti performs very similarly to a RTX2080 in regards to rasterisation. The RTX3060Ti is rumoured to be $400 US and will perform on a par with a RTX2080. The RTX3000 series cards all feature Raytracing, DSC, HDMI 2.1 and GPUDirect. For an extra 80 bucks you could have had a brand new card with a ton of new features. Instead you bought a 4 year old card with none of those features that's also likely to die in the next 2 years. I'd hardly call that winning. Unless your definition of winning is the same as Charlie Sheen's.

Pretty harsh lol but I'd have to agree no RT in 2020 is pretty bad and the 1080 was great but as RT is going to become the norm I struggle to understand why anyone would not want this feature. I upgraded from a 2080 super to a 3080 and the difference is massive

Ok so your basing this all on a rumour? and if you missed it the price of a 3080 here is $1300+ and a 3090 is $3000+ so if you think the 3060 Ti is going to be $400 US Dollars ($560 AUS) your dreaming! add another $200-300 id say. RT? Dont care at all about that crap for all of 5games that use it and none of the games I own do so whatever! HDMI 2.1? erm again dont care when gaming at 1440P Monitor I have, dont see why thats a big deal? DSC? I dont stream so.....and if I do or have (once or twice) I dont have any issues, also the card is 3yrs old not 4 going by the owner I bought it off. So you might want to rethink what you all just said honestly lol SO I think again this was a great deal even compared to your rumour card/price as im sure its going to be closer to $300 more then what I paid for my 1080 Ti.

3080 only expensive here due to demand... Give it another month or so they will be back to 1100 aud.... 3070 will be cheaper and 3060 will be even cheaper than that. I paid 1300 for mine cause I'm impatient and had already sold my 2080s haha. There's way more games coming now the consoles have RT this year will be awesome for progress

Pretty harsh lol but I'd have to agree no RT in 2020 is pretty bad and the 1080 was great but as RT is going to become the norm I struggle to understand why anyone would not want this feature. I upgraded from a 2080 super to a 3080 and the difference is massive

ray tracing is years from being 'the norm' like every new variety of pixel shading over the years. I definitely wont be halving my FPS to enable it.
