Both brands are, most non sponsored games are designed aroudn the consoles, which are running rDNA2.AMD-sponsored games are a small percentage of all the games coming out. So recommending Nvidia is actually very reliable for GPU longevity.

Because they no longer have a huge technological advantage? Not saying NVIDIA will die, but they will have to innovate. Something that almost nobody on this planet does better than NVIDIA. In the end we the consumers will benefithow is Nvidia in trouble over $50 price difference?

...because it's new tech...That's interesting Then why are all the biggest titles of today implementing raytracing? Why is AMD rushing their own raytracing implementation (even though inferior to Nvidia's)? Why do the consoles now support raytracing?

Your "Most" argument is of course accurate, but nearly all major titles are designed for consoles first. Just play them, you'll immediately notice things in most of them that scream "uh didn't any beta tester on PC notice this?"Yeah, most games are actually made for PC.

I would disagree with that. What about the most played games of today? World of Warcraft? Minecraft? PUBG? Fortnite? Battlefield? Call of Duty? Soon Cyberpunk 2077 (which is designed for PC and then for consoles as well, not a backport)? I agree with you on some COD, depends which COD though. There are so many that I keep losing track .. I don't think the one with raytracing sold through battlenet first was a console backport. Don't remember which one that was. But it was promoted by Nvidia.Nice list, I would have mentioned those, too. Maybe CS:GO, too. COD is definitely console first.

My data suggests it's in line with other good triple slot design coolers, which seems reasonable? AMD has a large vapochamber over the others in this chartHey @W1zzard have you looked at GN thermal results? Something seems off to me with them reporting 41 dB and "mediocre" thermal performance compared to your 31 dB with "best reference design".

Maybe something wrong with his sample?
Well, that is your opinion, here is another review that shows that SAM does make a difference in some games;You responded to a post about how "fanboyism is bad" with the biggest AMD fanboy page on the internet - HardwareUnboxed? Oh come on. You can't trust their results at all. Thier results are constantly significantly tilted in favor of AMD compared to the rest of the interner for their entire existence.

RT is the antithesis of DLSS. You increase image quality only to decrease resolution, and IQ, for a performance boost.
The GamersNexus review shows only minor improvements from SAM, just like here on TPU. And in most cases, it is by far not enough to beat the RTX 3080. There are a few titles where this happens, funny enough the AMD sponsored games, but even Steve states that there's no chance you'd notice that in game. Besides, if Nvidia achieves the same results on both AMD and Intel CPUs, it's going to be detrimental to AMD if they only offer this on their own platform, as suddenly on Intel they become even slower than they were before.Well, that is your opinion, here is another review that shows that SAM does make a difference in some games;
