Game seems pretty buggy and unstable. Just had it crash after the mission shown in the first demo.

Also able to get about 40 FPS at low settings 3440x1440. Game still looks pretty good.

Yeah, I am at 48 on low...

it's just not fast enough to cope with all the stuff goin on onscreen maybe try turning off a few things like motion blur and film grain that helped me get into the 80's on average down to about 56~63 in highly populated scenes

The game defaults to the High preset for my RTX 2060 at a 2560x1440. Tried changing to the medium RTX setting. Frame rate seemed unaffected by the medium RTX option.

So far so good, running decently well at 1080/60 with just a 2060 and 3900x. Med crowd density. High settings are problem free. Ultra starts to show the lag in more open exteriors. Or I can bump most things closer to med and run RT... though Im not experimenting with that yet. Call me crazy but the last thing I wanna do when I crack open a new game is play with fucking settings lol.

Honestly, I bet a detailed look at frametimes would show some optimization issues. Hard to explain, but it doesnt feel like its fully there with certain things... like it could be smoother. If theres any stutter, its subtle. This is something else. Im sure Im not the only one getting this vibe.

All in all Im really enjoying the game. I expect it to be sort of buggy and maybe not always run so well. Ill scrap this char after learning the game better anyway.

Maybe Im just one of the lucky ones to generally be moving through the game. Ive seen a couple of "running" neon signs... a mesh or geometry optimization issue... but otherwise its been fairly smooth.

Agreed, visuals are good but certainly nothing earth shattering. there's games out there that look just as good and manage double the frame rates. My cpu seems to be under-utilized compared to other games

oh, his gpu is the problem? interesting take...you just said it yourself you turned the setting down and your 5700 still hitting 50's? C'mon now let's call a spade a spade. The game performance wise is an un-optimized potato. THAT'S the problem.

Gameplay has been good (so far), just beat the first boss. Haven't encountered any big bugs and haven't crashed yet, so that's good.

ReShade v4.8.2 seems to work so far, switched from NVCP sharpening to AMD CAS. Looks much better to my eyes with DLSS-Quality.

I did peek at those. Control made such a good case for them and they really do look great. The more you see them and how much of an impact they have visually, the harder it gets to not have them. My whole concept of reflections is different now - with RT-R on that game, you really see how every single surface in an environment IS and has always been reflective, though we tend not to think of that when it comes to games.

But theyre always the performance sucker. With Control, the reflections were always where heavy compromises came into play. Though shadows are heavy too. I think when I do play with RT Ill try turning those off to run just the reflections.

I don't need an RTX 3080 - Screw you Nvidia. No, wait... My 2080ti is running around 55-75fps at ultra, RT high with DLSS. 1440p. Visuals good enough. I want a game, not a fucking photograph.

And BTW, we can swear and curse, the game's 'R' rated (as such).

Irony i'm seeing comments on social media on how the game runs badly on PS4 and it should have been delayed...Well if they can keep delaying to try fix the game then we may never see a release and people will moan on the delay or release and fix it on the way like most devs done. Can't win with these people.

With the amount of hype on this game? No... there really is no winning. There was never ever going to be. That was a given when it stopped being a game and became fuggen Cyberpunk.

Without RT it runs really good. Did a clean install of the latest GPU driver and haven't had any CTD since, about 7 hours of playtime.... FIrst 2 hours I had 3 though.

Im in. Managing 30+ FPS relatively stable at 3440x1440. Dropping to 2560x1080 is a straight 20% FPS boost on top, but I'd rather tweak individual settings to keep sharpness and hopefully get averages of 40. Also... I stand corrected. Game looks pretty damn nice. Even on medium.

Playable on a 1080 then. Noice.

This setup seems to get closer to 40 FPS and good balance in IQ/perf while keeping native res. It also doesn't drop dramatically when you look in a mirror.

Note all Basic settings are disabled. What they consider Basic I apparently consider horrible to look at, so thats bonus? The Lens Flare is still up for debate... but might kill that too.

Same settings, but with AMD FidelityFX CAS at static scale of 85%. Achieves 50 FPS and is a keeper!

Well.
2k res High present, no film grain cuz that messed with my eyes, in huge crowds 29 frames, usually indoors where the shooting starts 55 fps. An average of 40 i'd say. It usually runs around 40+
Did not any new drivers cuz there none available for me.

It's disappointing cuz i feel like it's too demanding for not much eye candy and details.
I never saw a game look soo good, don't get me wrong, not by a big margin. - Far Cry New Dawn looks very good and runs like a champ. I can hold that thing 4k with more than 60+ FPS. Which is insane. Only goes to show that devs can make amazing things with regular hardware, but not CD Red

The gunplay with all aim assists off is very good. Has a little bit of PUBG in it.

As for the bugs. EVERYWHERE! It starts with the character creation in the first seconds of the game, where when you try to rotate using Q or E the character and press on the mouse to go through the presets (let's say mouth presets) the selection will jump up to the next thing on the list - as if you scrolled up, but you didn't.
And that for a game tester should be easy to pick up and report to the dev team.
And it continues, throughout the game that guy that is your friend...he walks through elevator door, walls - you name it. NPC are floating around the city etc etc etc

Yeah you can't win with these folks. I own a ps4 slim and never expected the game to run properly on it. This is a late gen title that was primarily developed for PC, shitshow on base consoles is to be expected.

Tried RT at Psycho setting - I've got a G-sync monitor so i'm not that bugged by the drop to 35 fps

Games shouldn't be released on platforms they can't properly run on.
