My 2mm Thermalrite Odyssey pad arrived and the tinkering began. Here's what happened to the GELID 12.8wmk pad after 2 months. It fried up and crumbled.
Some repaste with an MX4 and alcohol cleaning later. The oily leak was from the stock thermal pads that came with the MSI 3080 Ventus
Here's some pics of the pads. The Thermalright is slightly softer.
The Thermalright made a lot of difference. I got 6C less from Mem Junction Temp. Previously the temps when mining it was 96C and the fans were at 90%. I can now run the fans at 75% and the temps stays at 90C.
