Hmmm. I used an NT-H1 on my Aorus 1070 way back in 2016. I gave it away and was advised that it was running hot. He changed it to MX4 and its a lot better. It was stuck in a box for a couple of months though.I just don't see Noctua doing that. They have a reputation to protect and making a TIM that fails quickly would do their reputation very serious harm.
It seems that these thermal pastes aren't really meant to just sit idle and must be xposed to heat constantly to prevent performance loss.
