Hi and welcome to the forum. :toast:

I don't think your board will have any trouble with a GPU upgrade. The 1660 Super is fine, or even a 2060 (Super) if you can get hold of one. Availability is the bigger concern. Also, what power supply do you have?

Thank you.
But how it possible.
I have checked 3060 and 3070 are much faster than CPU 6700K. So it will bottleneck.
Please tell me if i can use 3060 and 3070.
Maybe it is better option to buy this more upgraded cards??

yes,

i have 3060 w/i7-3770K (4.5) and cyberpunk, AC:O (or any AC game) bottlenecks but FPS like metro EE is fine. older games i play 4K so no problem. and its easier to get cpu/mobo than gpu these days.

psst. 3070 :D

Whoa, that must have been an FPS horror.
with the 6700K, I'd go with something like 1060Ti or a 1070 and it would be ok. Heck, even 2060 would work just fine with it.

I would say Vega 56, it will be like at least 30-40% better than your RX480. May be go up to Vega64, but I wouldn't bother after that with this CPU. On a side note, your PC is fine. Just look at my specs, mine ain't much better than yours and I am happy with it.

Edit: on a second thought, bottleneck is overrated :D, slap in the best card you can get for your money. You will be fine.

Games need CPU and GPU power, your CPU is a few generations old but many gamers here on TPU still use even older systems, commonly the 3000 and 4000 series chips.

You have a quad core, 8 thread CPU - which is good enough for all modern games... it just wont max out the top tier GPUs. Where a Ryzen 5800x like mine might get 200FPS, you'd get 100FPS. That doesnt mean half the FPS all the time, it just means *sometimes* the maximum will be lower.

You have a 1080p 60Hz monitor which is entry level in todays world of 4k 120Hz screens and 1440p 240Hz screens... you'll be fine. Anything from a 1660 super to about a 3060Ti would be fine, dont forget you can always re-use the GPU in whatever you upgrade to in the future.

I just want to get maximum power of the card . What purpose to buy 3070 or 3060 if there will be fps limitations. Maybe better to leave this configuration and slightly upgrade gpu?
I am doubdt also that my power supply that is 600w will not handly with 3070.
Virtually you are correct that later in the future it can be upgrade whole system and use the gpu.

Actually, Vega 56 is faster than a 1660 Super for quite a bit but I'm not so sure if your 6700K can push to the limit. It should be OK I think.

I have the same monitor! :p You just didn't answer the question: how's your power supply?

But you also use more powerfull power supply???
i have just 600w
What brand and model? 600 W is plenty if it's a reliable one - I'm using a 300 W Silverstone SFX unit with a Core i7-11700 and GTX 1650 (not that I would ever suggest running to buy a 300 W power supply, though).

Edit: Sorry, you DID answer the question. I just didn't see it because my eyes went past "cooler". :D Thermaltake isn't the most trusted brand on the planet, but it will get the job done. Like others said, a 1660 (Super), 2060 (Super), 2070 (Super) or 3060 (Ti) will be fine. On the AMD side, a used Vega 56 or 64 or RX 5600/5700 would be fine. More expensive cards are a waste of money anyways, imo, especially for 1080p.

No matter what graphics you buy it will work. What @Mussels says is, it's not worth to spend a lot for graphics if your CPU can't keep up with it meaning, You buy 3080 and it turns out, that the games are not running faster than if you had purchased a 2070 for instance. You spend a lot of cash unnecessarily since you won't be able to utilize the graphics card fully.
Here's also an example.
I bought 6900XT 2 months ago and played games on my 2700X. All worked fine. When I moved to a 5800X and new x570 mobo, I saw a huge boost in performance with certain games. In some games the FPS doubled even at 4k you know. I knew back then I will be buying a new CPU as well but if you are not planning this maybe there's no need for you to spend shit a lot for a graphics card just to realize that your CPU can't keep up with it.

Exactly. Because of this I am asking which card will suit best my configuration without updating hardware. I thought maybe 1660 super.
To replace my rx480. It already runs slow some games.

1660 super is better than a 480xt but if you want to see some meaningful difference, I would go 1070 at least. 1070 should work just fine with your system. Maybe even 1070Ti.

Any GPU you do get should be AMD because Nvidia cards have a higher driver overhead, which especially becomes a problem on older or lower end CPUs.

AMD's Ryzen 1000 series are about equal with Intel 6000 level gaming performance wise so assuming you are comparing two equal performing AMD / Nvidia video cards, the AMD one would outperform the Nvidia card with your system simply because AMD cards have a built-in hardware scheduler where as Nvidia offloads that work to the CPU (which is actually an interesting point to be make as it may actually hide a small portion of their power consumption as well).
