Wish you luck, must be super frustrating to pay a ton of money and receive faulty products :wtf:

If I would still not be hopeful of oled-like tech making its way into monitors, that G9 would be a strong threat to my wallet :D

May receive one tommorow but i feel like they received a entire batch of faulty products that where never meant to be sold as new first 3 dead pixels then 15+ im not gonna accept anything less then perfect especially after first one that had 3 dead pixels then 1 recovered and new one died 2 weeks later, followed by 2e panel of 15+ dead pixels yeah no thanks, im gonna be cautious for 100 days straight if this one is perfect cos i have 100 day return period.
edit: arives in 1-2 hours now
I received my third panel with 2 dead pixels near top edge of the screen 1 faint and another 1 clearly dead, i keep winning the lottery for dead pixels

Just saw the locally distributed Sapphire cards in my neck of the woods:
Pulse RX 6600 XT ~ 515USD,
Nitro+ RX 6600 XT ~ 540USD.

These prices are local currency converted to USD...not great, but not as bad as I'd thought it'd be.

Well, you cant overinflate an already overinflated price much more, those cards should have been 250-300 USD, AMD did the pre-scalping themselves :D
But yeah, these seem to be available everywhere at close to MSRP.

In my my neck of the woods all cards are available from both AMD and Nvidia, except that they are all twice as expensive as they should be and nobody is buying them, the most numerous are the 3080TI models, I guess people here said heeeeell no, thank you, no more

It has been a crazy year, and the fact that I got my 6800XT at launch for MSRP is just now becoming a small wonder :) Best GPU I ever had, still love it!

If your motherboard does, it should
I had to rollback the BIOS from F35 to F33 and then re-upgrade it to F35 to get SAM to work. Mobo is X570 Elite and GPU si RX 6600 XT. I had previously tried everything from reinstalling drivers both GPU and chipset, different PCIE slots, reset BIOS. Sometimes troubleshooting these things makes no sense when you find the solution.
Yes it does, just don't buy one. Trash value for what it is.
Maybe where you live. But i got mine for less money than a GTX 1660 or RX 5500 that have insane prices.

Welcome back with 1st place on 5950X. :respect:
Seems like you have given up on 5900X and went to big brother to get higher than 22k on overall score. :D

You will not see any scores from me in the coming weeks.
I am going on vacation until mid of September starting from end of next week.

By the way, I heard rumors on Hardwareluxx that AMD will launch refresh of 6900XT in October. The rumors say similar performance with less power consumption and a little improved RTS performance.
The guy who said this is usually spot on with his info in the past.
Seems like he has some connections to AMD.

 Never doubted it.

New driver any good for improvements in this?

Didn't you have a 5900X? I see a 5950X there :D
Thank you for your support. :D I don’t think it was the driver. More like the cold from the air-con.:roll:And of course, the lovely 5950x. I came upon an offer I couldn’t resist so I bit it.:D

What were to happen if I used the Red BIOS Editor to edit my new 6600xt BIOS and upload it to my card? It has a dual BIOS switch since it's an XFX Merc model. Card is not officially supported for the editor, or the flashing tool Igor lists on instructions, but it allows me to load my reference BIOS in to RBE, and load an MPT file as well.

I know going beyond 1.15v with writing to the "SPPT" file causes it lock to 500mhz since AMD locked out people from overvolting at the end of 2020 (I think it was 300mhz on RDAN1). But I thought I read in the instructions that writing to BIOS is a workaround. Is this true? Could I try 1.18v or even 1.20v on my 6600xt? I'm tempted to try since I have dual BIOS, but I'd like to know if someone already tried and it's pointless. I think the flashing utility might not work yet on the 6600xt, but I'm not sure. There is another official flashing utility I can find, but it needs a signed BIOS, which a custom BIOS is not.

I am not sure but it could very well be that the bios will be bricked.
In that case you will then need a programmer like CH341A to flash back original bios.
As far as remember, a few months ago many experts at Igor lab forum were looking into moding RDNA2 bioses but at that time they were not successful.
The moded bios was bricking the cards.

I can try such crazy things as I own the programmer and can recovery my card's bios afterwards.

I just read on Igor's Lab forums that someone tried it with a 6700xt and it bricked their card. I heard all you really have to do is start the PC with the integrated CPU graphics, or with it switched to the 2nd BIOS, then switch back to the broken BIOS and flash a working original BIOS onto it to reverse it.

They left some code in there accidently that makes you think it's going to work for the 6900xt cards when you try it. Also curious what happen if I tried flashing like an official and signed proper 6700xt BIOS onto my 6600xt. Would the extra cache, VRAM, and compute units confuse the crap out of it? Or would it by some miracle work? I don't know what other hidden voltages there are that might actually cause damage.

Yes what you said about flashing back original bios could work but it does not always especially if you use a moded bios.
I read on some forums about users who flashed 6800XT with 6900XT bios. The 6800XT was bricked.
In some cases where moded bios was used, the flash back of original 6800XT bios without a programmer was not possible.

I don't believe you will be able to flash 6600xt with 6700xt bios without bricking it.
Even people tried to flash regular 6900XT with 6900XT XTXH version bios. Both are supposed to be same card but one is binned higher. This did not work. The regular 6900XT was bricked.

Yay, finally found a patch for my itch, namely a way to use FSR in Cyberpunk :peace:

Guess, which one is native and which one is FSR :D

Nice! Both seem the same to me. Could that be on the left with the FSR sharpening some textures?

Cyberpunk got FSR support ?
Nope, sadly no, and not even in the upcoming 1.3 patch :wtf:
Found an upscaling app on Steam (lossless scaling I think its called) that can upscale any game, and it recently got FSR support, so I tested it on Cyberpunk, and I am really amazed by how good it looks.
Its a bit tricky to use, since in order to get the exact FSR quality levels you have to set up custom resolutions, and it only works in windowed mode, which is an issue if you have a HDR monitor, HDR and windowed mode don't go well together.

But its proof of concept that FSR and Cyberpunk would be fantastic together, if only CDPR would not be weird about it.

Yup, left is FSR :) Though with the tool I used you can adjust the sharpening filter.
Got from 42 FPS with Ultra and RT Reflections on to 58 FPS, with the equivalent of Ultimate Quality, upscaled from 2648x1108 to 3440x1440
In game while moving there is no difference vs native, you have to stop and look for pixels to see any difference.

Honestly pisses me off gamedevs that play favorites, just add both fsr and dlss, do not pick for them what they wanna use, im just glad i can finally use amd relive the way i could never use shadowplay now.
