Need help identifying this problem with my GPU please help!!

NVIDIA > Control panel > Manage 3D settings > Power management mode = SET HIGH performance ... re-test
this only disables 2D Mode.

I do disagree, and even NVIDIA disagree with your thought.

Prefer High performance (former "Maximum Performance") locks the card into 3D Mode. that's it. (since over 10 years now)

thats your problem - yeah back to the power pin :p the card is power throttling because pin#2 isn't doing anything.

why? good question.

i doubt its the PSU, if you want to, try run prime95 while running heaven, if the PSU doesn't shut down, you're fine. could have a connector/cable problem, try another cable - i am assuming that TT 850 has a few(?).

but i've not seen this before, it like half the vrms/power planes wanna don't work. and that a no fix kinda th

btw, adjusting voltage in AB won't show idling, its adding to the boost clocks (P0 power state) but using Kboost (via evga PX not AB!) should have locked you to 1.212v.
So this is the exact model of the PSU I have

Can't find replacement cables for this exact model but I found this

would these work?

also did what you said and ran prime95 while running heaven benchmark and my PSU did not shut down

Hi,
Only reason not to change paste and pads is you don't feel comfortable doing it.
That and I wanna see if I put a new power cable it will fix it without taking my GPU apart and messing up something more

that psu should have 2 cables with 2 - 6+2 pci-e power connectors on each cable. or did you lose it? :p
its not a big deal, i thought maybe that one connector is flanky but it is a goose chase. but NO DO NOT buy any cables that aren't for that specific model! that ebay isn't.

since the PSU did not trip, its looking good, not exactly confirmed but not looking like thats a problem. the swapping the connector thingy is a shot in the dark. sure the card, as mentioned by a few, is giving up the ghost, sorry.

At this point i should buy a new GPU huh perfect timing since GPU prices are also crashing thanks for the help
