The HAF 700 EVO is Cooler Master's take on a no-limits chassis. As such, it joins an illustrious circle of expensive and massive cases like the In Win Signature series or Corsair 1000D. And while it is the latest entry in that category, it manages to make a splash inside and out.

I like it, the front with 4 USB 3 ports, power, reset button , also space for plenty of 2.5" SSD's, I also like the 2 120mm fans in the back and the PSU nicely tucked away behind the motherboard.
But that price....

CM tankers tanking down low below the ocean... $650? Are you kidding me, how is this getting a recommendation at $650?

HAF cases have never been remotely this expensive, even Cosmos...

two thumbs down, lol.

$650 is the price of a mid-range GPU and while this case is technically impressive, there's no way it's worth as much money as an incredibly complicated electronic component housing billions of transistors. Hell, even at half the price it would be a hard sell, CM is very obviously pitching this at people with more money than sense. Which is sad, because that probably means the innovations found here won't make it into more reasonably-priced products.

And for 650 smackers they could at least supply dual type-C ports on the front IO, FFS.

Fugly and way to pricey.

Should remove the HAF in the name the old cases were at least reasonable this is an abomination!

The first case I've ever seen that comes with its own large cocaine mirror included. Now we know for sure the targeted buyers. All joking aside that thing is even more gargantuan than my Cosmos II and for today's use more practical as well. The price is insane though all things considered.

transformerism lives on!! I never did like these types of pregnant looking cases but I have to admit I do like that front lit up grill addition. Not gonna rinse CM for the price tag, awfully expensive but they get a jail free card from me thanks to the wonderfully affordable NR200P (still my No1)

Wow, impressive case and yes it's been said already but it can't be said enough, PRICE = WTF! What is the target audience for this? People who don't know any better? Like @Assimilator said, more money than sense! I might consider it for 66% off MSRP, then again, huge cases are a decade out of style. I'm into the idea of, look at how much PC power I stuffed into this little box that isn't an oven.

'S kinda too bad one has to spend so much to get a vent pattern that's both attractive and functional.

I thought the case was going to cost ~$250 or so reading the review. $650 is insane. Seems like they spent more time fluffing it up with accessories to maximize margins than actually engineering an effective case. A $650 Phanteks or Silverstone case would actually be worth it. Need I mention Caselabs smh.

If you want a layout like this, then grab an Enthoo Pro 2 and put in some good fans like a12x25s or T30s. Slim 360 top, thick 360 bottom, slim 480 side, 4x 120mm intake to feed rads fresh air and done.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
There are lots of things about the quality and features to like about this case, but its looks do not appeal to me (and presumably not to many other non-Asian adults, either)

The price is justifiable because it's going to be a low volume part with a lot of expensive tooling needed just for this SKU. It is absolutely not good value as a result but I think the people who want something like this will also have the budget for it as it's a show-case for likely flagship components and a full custom loop. What's a few hundred extra dollars on a good case if you're spending $3000 on the components and another $1000 on the custom loop?

I just hope that some of the neat features work their way down to other products in CM's lineup, ideally in the more mainstream sub-$200 case market.

There's alot to like internally if your a wcer and or need a ton o storage space. The vented panel is really nice looking but the front panel...ugh. The thermal tests were impressive as well but as has been repeated ad nauseam, the price is just stoopid.
Redesign a drop in front panel, to match the vented side panels look. Take a chainsaw to that pricetag and this would be a badass case.

I love how excessive all of it is, but unless I get infinite omney I'm not ready to drop 600€ on a case.
If they make a version around 200€ then maybe...

Yes, it's very expensive and aesthetically 'challenging'. But people are paying $1500 - $2000 for graphics cards that will be landfill in 7 or 8 years - While this case will still be valid and functional.
EVERYTHING is about to get much more expensive...Food, fuel, energy, tech. You name it. 10 - 15% profit margins just don't cut it any more. I guess CM are just getting on the bandwagon, every other profiteer is driving just now.

Profit margins are not why everything is gonna get more expensive but I donìt want to get into a political discussion.
It seems like a bad idea to take the current (in my opinion temporary) state of GPUs and assume that we might as well just pay absurd prices for everything.
Also while it's true that your case will last long (still enjoying my CM690II) it also doesn't really change much of your PC performance, unlike spending more on a CPU or GPU.

Eventually you won't have to like a body hammer, we will all get the Point. This case is just another example of twisted, Illogical thought processes.
At that price you would think they could shove a Mini-Itx or expansion backplane.
We run out of slots before we run out of cores.
