Gauntlet kinda reminds of the Golden Axe games. There was a plethora of burly men wearing furry cod pieces (or was it a loin cloth, one of them two) fighting with giant swords in this period thanks to Arnold doing Conan the Barbarian. But my point being the first couple games are beloved by fans and then the series never seemed to find it's footing again. Stumbling in a fog for eternity looking to provide anything beyond empty nostalgia. I think both Golden Axe and Gauntlet franchise have suffered the same issue
