New CPUs are around the corner. If you are going to jump to 5000 you might as well take advantage of the prices and get at least a 5900X the thing about the 5900 series is they have the highest single core clock. The 5900X will do 4.9 GHZ single core and the 5950X 5.2 GHz. That will be the snappiest performance you will feel on AM4. If you are on a budget the 5600 is actually a really compelling CPU.
