IMHO, it is not a great naming schema but it is a little better than having no clue what architecture is under the hood. I really think the year number is silly and a bit underhanded to everyday consumers. The market segment numbering is another pile of trash. So pretty much the third number is the only nice addition to the naming conventions. You have to love marketing!
