My specs are below my avatar. Please don't troll, this is a serious question and I am legit considering this:
Can I add the upcoming RTX 4070 to my rig? Is it useless/a waste of money? How big do you think the bottleneck will be?
I've seen most videos where the 1700x was paired with the rtx 3080. Depending on the game he was losing almost 10-20fps because of the old cpu, still the performance was well above 100fps on everything played.

Strange how this guy is getting EXACT same frames with his rtx3080 that I get with my 5700xt in FarCry 5. How is this possible?

I also understand that the higher the resolution the more the CPU won't matter that much as shown here I game at 2k resolution monitor or 4k on my TV.
