Well I am looking forward to Zen 5 and a motherboard / chipset refresh - I am not a fan of these dual chipset x670e boards.
Same I mean I just bought an X570S/5600X3D out of necessity(read ”I dun f’kd up) and as a long term last go at AM4. I’m pretty happy and certain it will keep me going until Zen 5, never had any intention on Zen 4 anyway.

Yeah I will pass on Zen 4 and probably hop into Zen 5. I bet they will tone things down a bit power wise and go back to a Zen 3 type package power.. maybe.. purely speculation on my part.

Either way, it’s an awesome time for computers right now, minus the shit show pricing.
Same, sticking with AM4 at least until then. I am not in. CPU bound situation anyway at the res i game at and I just bought the “king” of gaming CPUs right now so I only us my PC for gaming anyway so I’m in a good place too easily wait out Zen 5

a knee-jerk reaction in response to Raptor Lake. typical.
a knee-jerk intel shill reaction in response to an upcoming AMD product everyone knew was coming. typical.

did you really think that AMD was going to build something that works and sells well but then never do it again?

Except AM5 will live as long as DDR5 lives, that will be many years, and when we have a 2-year-new-generation cadence instead of 1 year, that will be another decade in the future.

They had to begin with the 3D variants, not release them later. Or at least make a simultaneous release of the whole lineup.
Or, are they planning to release one offering, called the Ryzen 7 7700X3D?
They have confirmed 7800X3D, 7900X3D and 7950X3D. For some reason they decided to keep 7700 and 7600 v-cache free. They should cut the price of the 7600 to $249 and offer a $299 7600X3D too IMO.
