nvidia the devil, aren't we exaggerating just a biiiiiiiiiit. :D

I don't like any company in particular or hate any of them at that level, that's not healthy dude. But Nvidia hasn't done me as much wrong as AMD did, and the GPU market share seems to agree with me, and that's what ultimately judges these companies. I like Ryzen but i doubt i will buy a AMD gpu anytime soon, even if they are cheaper.

But i think my point is: is this healthy in any way, shilling for a company, or hate for a company like this, any company? Don't like Nvidia move along.
Just out of curiosity: what has AMD done to you on the GPU front?

As for me, everything I bought from them, except for the 5700 XT (that was partly Asus's fault) has been a rock solid experience. I also prefer their Adrenaline driver to Nvidia's 1995-style text editor control panel. The other thing I prefer is the amount of free technology they offer. Sure, you can run FSR on everything, but even my 1080p curved Samsung has Freesync that I bought for 130 quid 6 years ago. Gsync is not like that.

With that said, I don't have anything against Nvidia GPUs (I have several of them, in fact, just like AMD). What I don't like is the proprietary technologies and the price (and the outdated control panel).

Having visited Germany and Japan many times as flight crew, I would say they are the highlights of Capitalism, they both offer incredible customer services that aim to extract the most money out of customers while making them happy :D.

Same with Nvidia I guess.

Yes, only you have the capacity for critical thinking, everyone who buy Nvidia severely lack critical thinking I guess, 86% of the dGPU market can't even think for themselves :D

Final thing > we can all agree current GPU pricing is madness and not just related to this industry, the cost of living crisis is caused by all these Corps that have a monopoly on the market maximising profit margins.
People are sleepwalking into being ripped off permanently, Just don't buy them, turn your detail level down, run at a lower resolution.
At some point in history, profit became more important then quality of life for all..
The Media have a lot to answer for. Critical thinking is not allowed it seems.
Very well said! :)

We can complain about Nvidia, or AMD, or the whole industry all day and night, but the only way we're ever gonna take some control over the situation is by not buying what we don't need.

Yes, only you have the capacity for critical thinking, everyone who buy Nvidia severely lack critical thinking I guess, 86% of the dGPU market can't even think for themselves :D

PS: a pro Sim racer who can't afford a 4090, despite his livelyhood depends on high FPS? where does such individual exist LMAO
You couldn't have shifted further away from what @A.Stables said.

It seems, "only you have the capacity" to turn everyone else's post into some imaginary hate against people who buy a 4090. Better get those anxiety levels looked at, methinks. ;)

well, its up to Nv what they call their stuff, and what chips they put in which product.

@wolf
why?
to quote someone that replied to a pastor (USA) that complained about the songs being played on a certain radio station:
"if you dont like the songs, tune to a different station/turn the radio off"..

And it's up to us whether we buy it or not. Not buying is so much easier (and healthier) than complaining, imo. :)

Edit: And as long as these cards aren't necessary to play games, I think we have a trump card that we're not using.

i know you're just doing a honest query, but this thing has gone of the rails long ago, into a fanbase war. So i'm out. No more fuel from me.

If you think that's imaginary, boy do I have a website to show you.
... against people who buy a 4090? Yes, it's imaginary.
... against people who think a 4090 is the only way to game, and if you don't have one, it must be because you're poor? Nah, you're right - that hate is true (and well-founded, I might add).
... against the 4090 itself for being an overpriced, oversized space heater? C'mon, it's an object - can't we just all have an opinion, and not take it as personal insult?

One could just buy a 4090 and be happy with it. No one would say a word.

I'd happily shut this thread down but it's not my sub. We'll have to wait for that. In the meantime, how about everyone leaves? And though I cannot shut it down, I can give points.
